Thanks folks,

I asked and yes the side-by-side-door models is still going to be an elusive dream for the moment. The one I liked, Electrolux, is well over 80K :)

Just saw a Haier "freezer at bottom" fridge last night selling at about 20-21K incase you are considering Haier.

Still looking Navin Sir - Haier - are they good? I would definitely be looking at freezer at the bottom models.

I agree. Have their washing machine, and it's a regular headache.

Bought one for my parents last year - the freezer-at-the-bottom types. No issues - works like a refridgerator should.

If the budget is below 20 K and space limited , check out Samsungs RT 34

SAMSUNG's Digital World - Frost Free | RT34QVTT1/XTL

Picked this up after a lot of research recently.

Neat looker especially in Sparkle silver..and Samsungs A** is very good in Bangalore.( personal opinion so far )

Side by side was ruled out as my modular kitchen had no space for the same..LG also has some very good models in the same range..but IMO the interior space is better utilised in samsung..( compare the doorshelves / compartments in both models to check this)

Samsung has a bottom freezer for 35k. Comes with one of those water disperser thingies as well. Nice looking, 350L capacity.

The Haier bottom freezers have just been released. They have smaller sizes as well. Haier's reliability has not been proven as yet though. Anyone else here have any experience with Haier?

We recently purchased a Hitachi 430 liters bottom freezer model. It was the only large size refrigerator that would fit the space that we were constrained with. Very good design. Pricey though (46 k) but I decided to spend this kind of money as I don't envisage replacing this one for at least the next 10 years.

bought LG around 4 yrs back... till date never faced any problem.... before that we where using KELIVNATOR for all most 16 yrs..

Myself and my friend bought LG and Whirlpool refrigerators respectively around the same time, i.e. 4 years back. Neither has had any issue so far (he lives next door, so I know). However, one thing we noticed that the compressor noise is on higher side for Whirlpool (less than Godrej/Videocon ones though). It is especially noticeable at calm nights. LG is relatively quieter.

Freezer space is traditionally supposed to be more useful for non-vegetarians. However, it seems if you keep pulses in freezer, they last much longer. (Our freezer is mostly overflowing with pulses and chocolates).

We have both Kelvinator (20 years old) & Whirlpool (2 years old). Whirlpool makes more sound.

Hi,

Would like some suggestions on which full automatic front loading washing machine to get for home... load: 6kgs.. budget: 20k

As of now, I am looking at the whirlpool sensation elite model.

Thanks..

Buy IFB/Bosch or LG.

Buy IFB, IMHO, the best in business. I purchased online directly from them, that way you get the best offer, and some good freebies too :). Be prepared for credit card payment. Door Delivery is made within 3 days.

go for the IFB. We have been using it for ages, and have never ever encountered any problem so far....Touchwood !!

Take IFB mate. Brilliant it is and cleans so damn well compared to a couple of other washing machines that I have used.
