:)

As quoted by someone in the posts above, you don't buy an iPhone with your head, you buy it with your heart.

It's similar to buying a BMW 3 Series I guess, in BHP speak. Yes the space at the back is too less, yes the RFTs make the ride irritating, & yes it does not have the plush interiors of say an Audi or Mercedes. You can buy a Jetta or an Elantra or a Vento even, and still have loads of cash left. But when you drive it, the smiles just keep on coming :D

Similarly, yes the iPhone it has its own share of problems, issues and lunatic features that will have you pulling your hair in a few minutes, but if you are prepared to accept the iPhone the way Apple deems prudent, then yes, it IS worth 3-4 times the amount over any phone in the market today.

Just ordered myself an iPhone6 64gb Space Grey :D Seems like this model is hot seller as most online retailers are sold out of this one expect Infibeam since they are authorized apple agents that are guaranteeing delivery on the 17th of October as I had mentioned earlier.

:OT My iPhone5 16gb is up for sale, do PM me if anyone is interested

More than head or heart, I think you buy an iPhone with your wallet :D

Even if my heart wanted an iPhone, my wallet is deciding factor whether I can get one or not. lol.

On another note, I am actually confused about buying the iphone 6 this time around. With companies like xiaomi around, does 53-54k make sense anymore for a phone? I can get an Mi3 for 14k and change it over a couple of times in the two year cycle that I usually use for my Iphone. Yes, the Iphone has the kind of integration and smoothness that Android is still trying to find, but overall is it worth 3-4 times the amount?

This is one of the most debated topic currently; whether it is sensible to pay more for brand value. IMO, you can't compare newer companies to the established brands in the market. Let's ignore the iPhone for a moment and take other brands such as Motorola and Samsung, I believe you have to pay for the reliability, service support and brand value that these companies possess over a company like Xiaomi. You say that the mi3 can be bought 2-3 times over for the price of an iPhone but I think you may be compelled to change it whereas the phones of the established companies will run till the time you wish to use it.:thumbs up

LOL. Yeah but I don't need that heavy a wallet for a Moto X or HTC one.

Even if I wanted one, my wallet will not permit me.

More importantly I value the hair on the side of my head (#hairgate) and a 50 grand hair trimmer is too much money.

ps: sorry couldn't resist that one :D

Apple has actually replaced the 32Gb with a 64Gb in the same price segment if I am not mistaken.

Apple should have stopped 16 gb instead of 32 gb. Today's apps, content need some much more space that 16gb is just not sufficient.

I think that's why Apple stopped the 32GB version.

They know that 16GB won't be enough for most users, so we have no choice but to fork out the extra for the 64GB.

When flash chip prices are so low, I really don't understand why the difference in prices between larger capacities is so high. 32gb at best would cost 1k more, so why 5-6k difference. Best would be to give an sd card slot and let people decide how much storage they need.

Have you heard about the 'apple tax'? :)

Can any users in our forum for iPhone 6 / 6 plus can shed some light on these phones and it's performance on iOS 8. All who have plan to switch including me can rely on your experience and views.
Cheers!

I read online that 4G won't work for US imported phones in India due to unsupported band 40 (frequency band used in India for 4G) in those imported handsets, but models from Hong Kong or Singapore support that band. Any of you heard this?
This has really thrown off my plan to get 6+ from US. Now, I'll have to shell 16k more to get it from India.

I got both Gold & Space Grey at launch , though colours are matter of personal choice , I think Gold really outshines everything else in this model . Will suggest you to see Gold in person before picking space grey .

US prices are so much cheaper. I ordered online from the US apple store the iPhone 6 plus 128gb. My CC was charged 62k for it. Indian prices are 80500. A cousin will carry it down for me end of november.
