Re: Digital cordless phone for home use

Not sure if you all have heard of DECT 6.0 phones. These phones operate at 1.9 Ghz hence there is zero interference with WiFi.

I have been using a panasonic dect phone for the past 3 years, works great, has great range, I get close to 50 meters range with no disturbance. People interested in these cordless phones should get these, search eBay or Amazon US for dect 6.0 phones. By the way these phones aren't available in India AFAIK.

I have two Panasonic phones that operate on the 2.4ghz range. There is no signal interference with wifi.

Sirji,

Have purchased Panasonic 3711SX recently. Wonderful instrument.

One thing I need your guidance. I am on Airtel. Have stored a couple of numbers in the instruments phone book. But when there is an incoming call from the same numbers, the Caller ID is not displayed.

Is there any settings which I need to work with ?

Even when any call comes, it just lists "Incoming Call" and NOT the number .

Any help will be highly appreciated

No. You'll have to allow for more than one ring for the caller ID to show who is calling. It does not display immediately.

My provider is BSNL and I did not have to do anything for enabling Caller ID service from the service provider or on the handset.

I am on Airtel landline now, switched from BSNL. Have had Panasonic cordless phone for years. No problem with caller ID; displays automatically. As Sandeep said, it does not show on first ring, sometimes not even on second ring, but will eventually show.

Thank you for your advise. I had to activate CLI on my airtel landline to get the things moving.

As has been suggested, it shows up after the first ring.

Only concern with the model that I have is that I am not able to disconnect any call when it comes. I wonder why.

Current solution adapted is to let the phone ring on mute to stop the call.

Any suggestions on how to disconnect any incoming call ?

I have not tried this but pressing OFF should hang up. This should work.

Hi,

Does the cordless unit/handset have a speaker phone option?

Pressing OFF button when you receive a call does not do anything.

Yes Sir, the instrument does have the speaker phone option. Does it help in anyway to switch off the calls ?

Re: Digital cordless phone for home use

Slightly Off topic..

Does anyone have any recommendation for Corded Landline phones which come with a headset ?
Basically looking for the following

- Mic+Headset option
- Mute button
- Speaker button.

The pickings for landline phones with a headset are slim.

I use a Panasonic corded and cordless set. The cordless unit has a headset socket and a speakerphone too.

You can go for something like Panasonic-KX-TS105W with Panasonic-KX-TCA60-Hands-Free-Headband
I picked up a similar model from a dealer in SP road some 5 years ago & it is still going strong.

Re: Digital cordless phone for home use

Have enjoyed a very good experience with Panasonic. I picked up a China-made dual cordless handset set from SP Road and is working superbly for 2 years +. Reception and range is excellent.

However, I am finding it tough to source a third handset which I can pair with the first 2!

Any specific shop in SP Road?

There are so many, that one doesn't know who stocks authentic stuff out there.

This is from a 5 year old business card. Not sure if the number is valid or if the business itself is still functioning.
