HP is costly.

I like acer brand very much. But 8.9 inch is too small for ususal work. So i bought asus, Specs seems impressive with 6 cell battery, dolby, wifi etc etc. Price is okay too.

But ergonomics is not good, very unresponsive touch pad etc.

Will probably go for dell mini 12 next.

PS: Atom is I feel is bit slower. People please wait (if you can) until Dual core atom 330/300 becomes main stream. This segment is still in its infant stage and will certainly evolve.

@Devrashi
I have sold both Asus I bought. any news on dell mini 12

That's free. Why would you not like to have something that's fee.

On a serious note, that is actually free from Samsung, not from Croma. What I have heard from other dealer, even if you buy it from elsewhere, you need to register at Samsung website and then send a DD/PO of Rs.999/- (processing fee, just like HP) and then they will deliver you the mobile.

At Croma, you get the facility of getting it right away that too without paying processing charges (maybe included in the price).

I have sold my mobile to a shop nearby for Rs,4,800/- cash so can anyone else. It is being sold @ 5200-5400.

Regards,
MG

I believe Via Croma it's a scheme. However, such scheme is available in markets as well.

If you aren't looking for phone, try it in near by market you will get the nc10 for 24500 or so. However, you need to draw a check of 950/- to get the J700 Scheme.

We were lucky, when we bought our samsung laptops, croma were out of samsung mobiles so they let us take nokia mobiles in the same price range.

One of my colleagues bought the Aspire One with XP and 160gigs after much drooling and dribbling over. However, he was disappointed as the max screen res is 1024x600 which is inadequate to operate Adobe CS applications, as they require 1024x768 minimum. The other specs like processor, RAM etc. are up to the mark. If only for the screen resolution....

Could you please tell me more about this DVD writer? Specifically, the model number and where you got it from. I'm looking out for one as well. Thanks in advance.

This is a NetBook, obviously not meant for processor-intensive graphics and multimedia (ie., audio/video mixing) applications.

Wrong device to try Adobe CS applications on.
