I did visit Pune Central at Shivajinagar to see if they do stock the Wii -- but my hopes were dashed. Is there any other place in Pune where the Wii is available ?

Racing game for Wii

I absolutely love my new Nintendo Wii. Only one thing I miss is the racing simulator game. I saw quite a few options actually but not sure which is more suitable for Wii-like gameplay.

1. NFS Nitro : designed specifically for Wii
2. Any other NFS
3. Mario Cart
4. Ferrari challenge
5. ??

Any recommendations?

Does anyone know if the new Nintendo Wii with M+ is available in India/Bangalore?
Also the prices in case you have got one ?

Beside the added hardware, it comes with Wii Sports Resort

I saw a few at Croma, Madhapur. The wii was priced at around 19 K---which is almost double of what I'd paid for in the US this Feb (210 USD).

Of course - everything under the sun is available in India. If you try hard enough - you could even lay hands on a PS5 ;-)

Don't know what you mean by "new" though - the Wii is actually a pretty old system - did they release a new version/model etc?

Its great though - I bought one for my 3-yr old about 3-4 months back. Malaysian Console that was pre-modded cost 11k. Comes with one remote and nunchuck. Another set of remote and nunchuck cost me 1800 bucks. Bought at Ritchie Street in Chennai. A dozen or so games set me back by 1200 bucks.

Bought Motion+ from the US - 2 for roughly 45$.

Bought an original US region WiiFit from a different shop on Ritchie Street - 7000 bucks.

For folks looking for this now - buying in the US is a great option. Its very easy to softmod or guys at Ritchie Street do this for about 1200 bucks. There are some great deals showing up every other day. Generally the Wii can be had for 150 bucks ($) or less in the US.

Hope this helps.

For people traveling via Heathrow, duty free is the best place to buy a Wii. I had paid 210 USD at Gamestop, US, for my US-specific Wii and paid around 40 for a 'Let's Dance' dvd, and around 30 USD for a India Adapter from Amazon.

I found that I could have saved nearly 50 USD if I'd bought it at Heathrow---the adapter for UK is 240 volts, so it should work in India too.

240v Wii adapters are available from ebay for approx 750/-. They work with US Wii's.
The seller I got it from was in Delhi, so you should get it cheaper if you pick if from those shops.

Yup. Got it 2-3 weeks ago. A gift from a relative. Nice stuff! It really extends the fun of the Wii.

Do you know if the motion+ and the sports resort DVD are inside the Wii box? I would guess not - its just a combo meal dude!

Earlier we used to buy the Wii Motion+ and the Sports Resorts game separately. Now its just a package deal. Amazon had an amazing deal on this sometime back. I guess 150$ for the Wii with motion+ and Sports resort.

If you already have a console you can buy the M+ sensor and the DVD separately.
When was it that Amazon had the Wii with motion+ and Sports resort packaged for $150, Sometime back ?
The packaged deal came out in the US only in May 2010.
