Thing is I have been using the same WIFI since last 3 years now. I agree it might be weak connection. But the phone should not automatically switch to 3G or atleast there should be an option to deactivate this. If I actively switch off 3G and then use Wifi, it is forced to use it even though the exclamation mark is still there. The problem is that with such a setup I am unsure of which data option it is using and have to keep checking. For instance I switch on Wifi and start watching a Youtube video with full screen option. Now the phone decided that the Wifi is too slow and switches to 3G without asking me and I end up consuming 3G data. The only solution I have found is to actively switch off 3G data everytime I switch on Wifi. And it is doing the same over 2 Wifi connections ( i.e. both home and work place). |
Mohit, I have the exact issue on my Nexus 4 device running android lollipop. I am currently using a workaround by using the Automate application on the phone (
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...automate&hl=en). This is similar to tasker, which enables to creat a task/flow which automaticallty disables the mobile data when the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network and re-enables the mobile data once the Wi-Fi is disconnected.
Let me know if you need any assistance.

I got mine on 9 Dec. We should get it soon. Heard from the OPO forum that invites for orders till 2Dec has been given. Should get it soon.
Friends,
Are there any updates on Micromax Yureka and Xiaomi Redmi 1S sales on Jan 13.
Seems like both are for flash sale on same day & time.
Hope whoever got subscriptions to get the phone ordered. Still no count down as yet.
Any information as to how many would be in stock for flash sale on amazon.in.
Hello members
Has anyone here or their relatives/friends have purchased the Nexus-6 phone? I am thinking of getting one for myself, as I felt that its the closest to a sensible upgrade from Note-2, in terms of screen size and performance. I will really miss the stylus of the Note-2, but cannot keep holding on to it forever.
Flipkart is offering 8,000/- exchange which is way too less. I will sell it to shop like the Mobile Store and all, who give better resell price than online.
What do you guys feel I can extract out of my Note-2 with following factors:
1) Original phone with all original accessories
2) Never rooted
3) Has never hung
4) 32 GB external memory card
5) No scratch on the phone
6) Excellent protective case from Amzer
I am expecting anything between 12 to 15k INR.
To all those who shared their India specific Oneplus One invites on this forum, is it fine if one shares just the invite code over PM here or anything else needs to be done. Thanks.

You have to forward the email. Just the code will not work. Atleast it didn't work when I tried
Process I followed was:
1. I clicked on the link in the mail
2. It took me to Oneplus account and asked me to login
3. It said "Claim success" and gave another button/link "Buy on amazon"
4. After clicking that it led me to Amazon.in website
5. In the Amazon website, I had to 'copy paste' the code again.
6. Once it was successful, I could add it to my cart
I have used two invites (first for me and then for my friend)
I followed the above steps when I bought it for me.
When I was buying for my friend, I skipped the first 4 steps and directly went to Amazon website to buy...it didn't work.
I was successful only when I followed the same steps mentioned above

If I wish to share an invite (Indian), please confirm if I can just give the invite code to another person and then the other person can login to his/her own Oneplus account followed by Amazon India account and get his/her phone ordered. I guess the email id at which i got the code is not required for the other person.
Hope my understanding is correct. Please confirm. Thanks.

Your email-id is not needed for buying. He can use his own Oneplus and Amazon IDs.
But if you send him the code(16 characters long) alone by SMS/Whatsapp/PM/Chat etc., It will not be useful.
You have to forward him the email you got from Oneplus (The link in that email is important).
So if you don't want to reveal your email-id to the other guy, you can't do it.
Hope its clear now.
Any body looking for India specific OPO invite, please PM me your e-mail id. I have an invite to share.
