Absolutely Adobe is getting the boot soon!
But can't you just keep signed out of Adobe? If not signed in, it can be used to view PDF only like in a PC. Only thing is, I am irritated with the AI assistant pop up each time.

Any reviews on Motorola Razr 50 ultra (flip model)? Specs look good and price is a lot competitive to Samsung flip model.

Considering Flip phones, the Razr 50 Ultra is a good choice and pretty good value for the price, it has an excellent display, IPX8 protection, Good UI, Speakers and camera. The 45W wired and 15W wireless charging charges the phone quite quickly compared to other flip phones. However, it does heat up on higher workloads. Overall as far as Flip phones are concerned its a solid choice.

There used to be Google PDF Viewer, app.
Google Drive, Google Docs and Chrome all 3 of them can display PDFs without being intrusive.

I am sure Android can handle PDFs for display and print without a separate app needed too.

Thank you I have settled on the Google app for now.

I consider Chrome to be inherently intrusive! I only use it when I have to.

It's been close to a year since I bought my S24 Ultra. Quite frankly, I've never used any of it's AI features. Tried my hand at using it to edit pix and I think it did a decent job of removing the ribbon barricades around the cars in the pix below. of course when you look closely, there are some botch-ups.

I'm sure some of you may have taken it to it's limit. Curious to know more if you have tried other features.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

Hi, I'm considering getting a new phone in the 25k - 30k Rupees range. My dad has shortlisted three devices, two of which have not been launched yet : Samsung Galaxy A36, Nothing 3a and the OnePlus Nord 4. Could someone advise on whether recent Samsung (particularly the A series), OnePlus and Nothing phones are any good in terms of longetivity, performance and overall snappiness? Also, as I'm coming from almost stock Android (Motorola e7 Plus), I would prefer not having too much bloat.

If you are spending around 30k for a new phone, Please don't go for the Samsung A36, it features a rather poor Snapdragon 6 gen 3 and isn't worth the price at all, moreover, the Nothing Phone (3a) ain't too great either with its Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, Overall of these three, it is the Nord 4 that is the best choice in terms of performance with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (almost flagship level), should last long and is a snappy device than all these, moreover camera and charging performance, build quality are all top notch and the best in this segment, bloatware if any can be easily uninstalled and the interface is good too.

However, I do have another recommendation since you prefer stock Android and no bloatware with longevity as a criterion, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro 5G, get the 12 GB RAM, 256 GB storage variant for Rs.27,999 on Flipkart after a discount, it is an absolute gem of a device with the excellent build, blazing fast 125W charging and 50W wireless charging, the best camera in the segment without a doubt, good snapdragon 7 gen 3 processor (better than the other two mentioned besides the OnePlus Nord 4) and is an internationally released model with great reviews overall, this model is much costlier overseas than in India and it shows as well, You won't be disappointed!, Moreover since you are coming from Motorola, it would feel much more at home.

So Ideally you should choose between the Nord 4 and the Edge 50 Pro, both are great in their own right, but I would give the Edge 50 Pro a little edge here owing to the overall aesthetics, features, charging etc while the Nord 4 excels in performance.

Re: Android Thread: Phones / Apps / Mods

My mom's iphone 12 pro max started acting up. It already had a broken back glass, blurry camera and muffled speakers. I spent 6,500/- and got the back glass changed and it broke again after one small fall. I suggested her to upgrade to iphone 16 pro max with exchange, as she is well versed with ios from last 4 years and 3 years on iphone 7 plus prior.

However, she had her mind set on fold mobiles. I suggested Samsung Flip but she declined and wanted a fold. My dad was totally against fold phones due to low reliability, screen crack issues and high price of purchase and repair. I seconded his opinion, but my mom said she will live with a broken iphone than any other mobile than fold. She was hell bent on folding mobile. The Oneplus open had a great offer where 512 GB variant was coming under 1 lakhs, but green line issues scared us.

The fold 6 MRP was a wopping 1.65 lakhs. No doubt it is a piece of excellent technology, but still 1.65 lakhs is no joke. I started growing impatient as I was not able hear her properly in calls. As her birthday was approaching I went ahead and got a Fold 6 for her.

Amazon was showing 1.49 before exchange and offers. Cashify was selling a refurbished one for 1.05 lakhs. Went to offline stores like Vijay Sales and Reliance, both were quoting same price of 1.50 lakhs after all discounts.

A friend of mine has good contacts in Bajaj Electronics and spoke to our area store manager and got it down to 1.41 lakhs without any exchange or cashback offers. This was the best deal I got. He shared the quotation in Whatsapp, me with my absent mind went to Reliance Digital instead of Bajaj Electronics and was hell bent on getting it for 1.41 as per my quotation. After 15 mins they obliged for 1.41 lakhs, me after purchasing and reaching home realized my mistake and had a good laugh.

Learning here is that you can bargain in these offline stores as well and they don't have to sell us on sticker price. They have some quota called as store credit, they have their own credit card with store manager with a monthly budget which they can use for discounts.

The sales person suggested insurance which they quoted 15k, I declined and made the full payment via CC. Got home and connected old iphone via cable and the Samsung smart switch app took care of the rest. The only issue I had to login into each app, the smart switch doesn't transfer credentials. The phone did heat up a little bit during the extended usage, but nothing unbearable.

It was only 2 days of usage, my initial observations below
  • It is very slim when folded and small
  • One handed usage is possible when folded
  • Two hands usage when open
  • The hinge mechanism is very hard, we need to apply pressure on inside screen while folding
  • Opening and closing needs a bit of pressure
  • The screens are brights and vibrant
  • Display is the best feature, inside display has a plastic feel
  • The elephant in the room, the inside screen crease is on the face
  • Cameras are top notch typical instagram worthy photos
  • Small battery of 4,400 compared to the recent phones offering a whopping 6000 mah batteries
  • The cases are extremely over priced, a decent case from a brand like Spigen will cost 3k to 5k
  • Inside screen durability is questionable especially when dust particles get in the screen and we close it
  • Many apps like candy crush etc are not optimized for larger screen
  • Most of the native Samsung and Google apps transition flawlessly from small screen to large screen
  • 90% of the time you would end up using the outside screen
  • Body colours are pretty muted, I went with silver color
  • 2024 model and it still supports 25 watts charger only?
  • Not sure about spare parts availability in long run after 3-4 years

Do I regret the purchase? A big no, it is a magnificent piece of technology. Me being an 80's kid experienced Nokia 1100, Sony walkman series, Motorola Razr series, iphone 3 to 12 pro max, Samsung note series and now fold is next generation all together.

As usual mom is happy, dad is furious and mad, my son having a blast with this new phone and teaching his granny how to use it.

2025 is a year of new phones in our house. I got a S25 Ultra, dad lost his Iphone 14 in Khumbh mela and got a Iphone 16, and my mom got a Fold 6. No more new phones for next 3-4 years (fingers crossed).

A36 is going to be a useless phone so please do not purchase it. Also, Nothing has been pretty underwhelming for my liking, doesn't have much to offer than some blingy backlights.

OnePlus Nord 4 is good but I would urge you to look at the OnePlus 12R too for slightly more money, and also the OnePlus Nord CE 4 for slightly less money than the Nord 4. You won't go wrong with either of these in my opinion.

It still works fine for my use case similar to yours. Only problem is that the SBI Yono app stopped supporting phones with versions lower than Android 12, but I can still manage with the online website in my case.
Quoting myself.

Finally my OnePlus 5 has given up after almost 7.5 years of service. Took it for repair but seems it cannot be salvaged as the motherboard has issues.

Looking for a new android phone with a small form factor, I am drawn towards to Galaxy S24, but only gripe is the Exynos chipset that it comes with in India. I like to use my phones long term, hence question also on the reliability of this particular chip.

Appreciate if any users can highlight any specific observations in their day-to-day usage.

Getting a good deal for the S24 256GB on the corporate website including free power adapter.

Few queries -
1. Any idea if I can retrieve the data from my OnePlus 5 somehow, have some data that was not backed-up.
2. What is the difference between the regular S24 and S24 Enterprise edition? Enterprise edition is Rs 10,450 cheaper than the regular, Rs 450 cheaper if I take into account credit card discount of 10K on regular S24.
3. Will the S25 make more sense, with increased RAM and latest snapdragon chipset however at a premium of close to 13k over S24

The S24 is almost a year old and even though it’s a flagship it haven’t got the OneUI 7 update yet, although the S25 is not a great upgrade from the last generation. I would suggest if spending more than 50K in the android segment is losing its value now, at least in the small segment phones. The S25 will be a better upgrade since the 8 elite will be more efficient if you still stick to the android world.

I’m a OnePlus 6T user as well, on its 6th year slapped with a custom Rom with Android 15 and it can be used daily without any issues.

The earlier OnePlus were great value for money and exceptional devices in their own right, sad to see that your phone can't be salvaged.

Now moving on, the Pixel 9, Pixel 9A (to be released soon), and Samsung S25 series are the compact flagships available in India today and they are all great options. I would prefer the S25 over the S24 owing to the better chipset.

Data should be retrievable professionally.

No hardware differentiation with enterprise editions, just extra IT control suggested for organizations, they are trying the fleet phone thing like apple. I'd go for it.

Personally, I'd go for s25, just for the chip and extra year of updates.

I recently bought an s23 for the sdm chip over s24. Was using a OnePlus 6t for years, and the battery was due to be replaced, so got a new phone, and that is relegated to emergency phone now.

Snapdragon top tier chips are something else when it comes to longevity. The phone is still running without a hitch for almost 7 years now.

S24 imported from usa with snapdragon chip would make sense too.
