well in that case i made a good choise choosing sony nwe 107 1gb player
it runs of single aaa battery which wont be out of stock for the next decade i guess :-)

Go for the iPod V.

I do agree that Hard Disk based portable players have a tendency to skip if jolted, but the new ipod 30 gb has a a cache based play sytem, where the disk spins up only for a few sec while selecting the song , transfers it into the cache, and then essentially it is skip free.

Ideally keep ur songs to less than 10 mb, so avoid the disk from spinning up once its exhausted the cache.

I got a iPod for my son and twice it has frozen. Now even hard reset does not work. Once I did not know how the master /slave concept works and plugged it into a new laptop and on syncing lost all my music.

It was a real pain to get it back.

I really love my Treo 650 with a 1 GB expansion card. I also have loaded POAS ( Podcast on a Stick ) on it and listen to all my podcasts while I drive between Mumbai and Pune every week.

Well, I am also planning to take Mp3 player which I want to use in Car as well as at home. I am doing all Research from past 5 months..

Finally gona take Creative Zen Vision M, rather then Apple iPod 30GB Video. bcoz in Ipod all u get is just mp3 songs compare to Creative it supports more then 6 Video & 4 Audio formats, While With POD u have to hang around with Apple formats only. U have to keep converting the videos.

Here are the details review

Creative Zen Vision M

I'm not a big fan of IPOD. There's nothing special about it. And it's too overpriced. And when it's rechargeable battery dies out, u'll have to spend a fortune getting a new one.
Both me and my cousin have the Sandisk Sansa series MP3 player (the guys who make the SD memory cards for ur cameras etc.). My cousin has an expandable SD card slot too, so if u want u can expand the memory by 2 GB by putting in an SD card. The sound quality is 1000 times better than IPOD shuffle and the price is much cheaper. The battery life is awesome too.
Check out their website

Have used Creative Nomad IIc MP3 players back in 2000. They worked fine and used to connect them to my cars stereo through a FM modulator.

The first one conked out due to rough handling. The second one I still have but because I we didnt use it for quite sometime the keys are not functioning that well. They were for less than 100$ back then.

M? You mean Muvo? Its same as Zen with some features missing but looks better. I have the zen plus as its cheaper, and has great features. Great value for money too!

Creative Zen M Or iPOD Video 60 GB

HI Friends..

Well gota small questions.. would be glad if someone can reply me.

Please try to reply WHO OWNS these stuff.

I am planning to take mp3 player which will serve as pocket video player also.

I have finilised among these two - Creative Zen M Or iPOD Video 60 GB

I dont need any reviews of the these players as its alreday available..

iPOD - http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1875074,00.asp

Creative Zen Vision M - http://reviews.cnet.com/Creative_Zen...-31632696.html

I will be rarely usng them with headphone as most of the time I Will be connecting them to my creative (2.1) home speakers as well will be using in side the car too.(Rather then burning CDs)

Can anyone tell me which one gives good effect ?

Creative Zen has built in FM & all.. while POD needs itrip. I am not at all crazy for iPOD look & all. bcoz creative has also got good look as well as functions.

One last Q.. can I connect any one of the player to TV ? I mean can I store the movie on player & connect to TV to watch the movie ?

Waitng for positive reply from all of u.
