hyundai is working on the new elentra for quite some time now however the problem they are fasing right now is that the car is turning out to be to costly for its segment and currently they are working on the localisation to bring the cost down for the indian market.

i heard somewhere the new elantra will be coming in 4 trims...
2 petrol and 2 diesel engines... i.e.
a 1.6 diesel and 1.6 petrol
a 2.0 diesel and 2.0 petrol

1975cc petrol - 143 PS, 186Nm (horses/torque)
1991cc turbo diesel - 142 PS, 324Nm

1582cc diesel - 115bhp@6000rpm and 255Nm@1800rpm

the 2L diesel looks very healthy...
