Ok, not sure if this is the current spec car. Need an opinion. The brochure i got from Audi does not give the size of the car and a google search revealed similar size as quoted below.

(Mods, do delete this post if my assumption that its the specs of a 2012 A4 is wrong)

any idea when is it going to be launched. I asked Audi Delhi and Gurgaon and obviously both the dealers say they have no information at all on this matter but they are giving discounts as much as Rs.3,00,000 on the existing cars. I am totally confused as to wait for the new car or go for this

It's only a facelift, you should just go for the current model if there any really good deals on the table.

• 3.0 V6 TDi in 2 states of tune: 204 bhp and 245 bhp
• 1.8 TFSi: 120 bhp and 170 bhp
• 2.0 TFSi: 211 bhp
• 3.0 V6 TFSi: 272 bhp

• 6 speed manual
• 7 speed S tronic DSG

The current gen A4 looks better IMO. Those characteristic curvy LEDs have an 'OMG!!!!' effect everytime an A4 appeared in the rear view mirror. There's hardly any distinguishing left now between the A4, A5, A6!!

Looks like it just lost a bit of character. I'm not sure why but I think Audi is taking the family resemblance too far, much more than BMW too.

Liked the looks But not sure if it affects A6 sales. Apart from the size, there is to little to distinguish between the two for the casual observer which the average 40 lakh rupee-spending-Indian customer will not be taking kindly.
Any info on the engines and states of tune we get in India? The current 2.0 TDI is a mismatch in front of the 320d.

The only sedan in Audi's lineup that stands apart is the new A8.
The front is way to similar to the A6.

My exact thoughts Boss.
The A6 would soon be having a smaller clone! A definite advantage for the A4, at the expense of the A6's identity. Firstly, the A4 was looking pretty good even without having to wear the A6's mask. And secondly, more than the exteriors or the interiors, it was the dated 2.0L Diesel that needed to be improved and not the looks. Hope the engine puts out more horses now, or the Chevy Cruze will soon out gun it

The current generation sure does look a lot more appealing.

This looks like a shrunken A6!

My pick will be current A4. It used to be a treat to watch those "pear of strings" in the mirror, which made me a huge Audi fan!! It's all gone. And the manual stick looks so out of place to me, in this car.

Looks like there will be some killer pricing this time to counter loss of sales.

Those continuous LED lights on the New A4 does not look as good as the ones in the Q3. The current generation dotted LEDs look much better.

However the continuous LED lights look really great in the Q3.
