Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

Oh my god. This is going backwards. Makes the on sale in India Linea look like the more grown up version. I don't see any changes on the inside apart from new clock graphics.

The already low sales will fall to nil sales.

You never know. Good looks were not bringing in any sales. So probably they might have thought that Asian inspiration is the way to go

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

The picture on the first page resembles new Verna. Now this recent one has the grill of old Verna
The dash looks really bad in my opinion. Has the quality but not the looks. Not sure about front knee room either.

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

The only thing which might lead me to buy this hideous looking car is if Fiat India start offering 1.6Mjd on this facelift. What were they thinking?

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

The front grille is a straight lift from the Hyundai Verna. Don't know if Fiat will bring the facelift here. They (Fiat) move at a glacial speed and they've only just revealed their 2012 line up. Remember how we were waiting for the Punto Evo to be launched here, which never happened?

Hopefully this'll be a case of What happens in Turkey, stays in Turkey!

The current design is so elegant & timeless.

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

The Linea is the only car that stands out in the crowd because of its looks.
And now this "Fluidic" Linea. Why Why Why Fiat ????
I sincerely hope they do not bring it here. Personally I've never been a fan of the fluidic designs (still believe the OHC looked better!).

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

Down right ugly looking! It looks like a 90's car in my head. I certainly hope they dont bring it here and spoil whatever little sales they are having!

Then again i felt the same way about Bolero too (initially about the Qualis and Santro too) only to be proven wrong later. Let us first see if it reaches india in the near future

IMO the guy who approved this face lift needs to be fired.
I still can't believe Fiat did this to Linea!!

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

All that I can say is I think I am really lucky to be owning the current generation linea tjet ! And I think looking at the new design, the resale price of the current generation cars should only go up.

To my mind although designs are based on individualistic tastes, the gorgeous European designs are surely way more sophisticated looking than the quirky Asian designs, it is best illustrated with the 2012 and 2013 linea looks.

Lookie what I found on Fiat's Facebook page.

Are you curious to find out more on the new Fiat Viaggio? The car will be introduced on April 23rd 2012 at the Beijing International Motor Show. In the meantime enjoy the first detail of this 5 seat Fiat saloon. This new model will be commercialized in China starting from the third quarter of 2012!
This is the Fiat version of the Dodge Dart and it looks positively yummy in this shot. Hope Fiat gets it here, as the new Linea or as another model.

The nose would do a "Trabant" proud and doesn't belong to Fiat. I think the Koreans are having a profound effect even on Italian design.

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

I remember the Zen facelift when Maruti changed the number plate location from bumper to the boot at the rear. It completely spoilt the classy looks of the original Zen. Fiat has done the same with Linea in the name of facelift.
Front is Okay or not bad but the looks at the rear are spoilt completely as IMO this car though looks elegant from all the angles, but looks best from the rear.
Why Fiat, why?

Re: Fiat Linea 2013 - Spy Shot

Fiat need to introduce the 1.6 Multijet with this and offer performance that pips the 1.6 VW and Verna.
