Yesterday I was facing the 'VIN number and name do not match ' issue.
I gave it a go today and got the same error as yours.
I believe these to be initial teething problems.
One mistake IMO Hyundai might have made is that (AFAIK) they did not beta test the application within a control group of customers.

I tried registering but got frustrated after two attempts trying to do so. The website was consistently throwing up database errors and refusing. At first I thought it was because I was using the Chrome browser, but then tried also IE but with no success. I gave up after trying another time. Hopefully someone is monitoring performance of the website and correct this. It hurts Hyundai's professionalism when things like this happen because it exposes the testing levels before releasing to the public.

A great initiative indeed, kudos to Hyundai.

About the accidental repair thingy, I have a hunch that Hyundai probably left this out deliberately. I mean, the owner might be sceptical of "officially registering" his / her car as accidental. All a (potential) buyer needs to do is type in the VIN and voila, its all there in black and white. And then nothing stops him / her from turning a minor bumper repair job into "chasis damage" and what not.

Me thinks, this will not see the light of the day. Would be ultra transparent and great to have though.

The database errors have been handled i guess but now I'm getting the following error

The website still has bugs needing to be ironed out. I too keep getting the same error message:

Facing the same error as being faced by others, upon submitiing the details it says -

I too have faced the same problem as many others, which is the following remark whenever I try to register for the service:

Name on Registration certificate, VIN number and owner type do not match for vehicle1 or vehicle has been registered using same details.

I plan to wait for some time till this issue is resolved by the Hyundai internet team. I'll probably try re-registering for the service after 2-3 weeks.

This is brilliant!! Massive kudos to Hyundai for offering this, complete transparency at its best! I haven't even seen this service portal abroad much.
I hope this urges most if not all car makers provide this kind of portal.

Slightly off topic: I have a strong feeling free 2 to 4 year all inclusive service including consumables will soon become a set norm in India in the years to come.

Tried registering couple of times, with NO luck.

Error message, I get on registration is
"Name on Registration Certificate, VIN number and owner type do not match for vehicle1 or vehicle has been registered using same details"

A great initiative indeed, way to go Hyundai. i hope alll the other do notice the website only not the labour charges too and learn from them.
this intiative would help us plan our serivce or remind us of what was changed over the last few services and help us keep a track.

This website earlier showed my service history correctly but since last few days, its not showing anything. Just empty page after I select my car registration details. Hope this is just a temporary software glitch.

But the list of all the labor costs is really helpful in cross checking of the charges levied by the service centers.

good work by hyundai. this is what the future of car ownership could be...interactive information that is easy to retrieve anywhere. Other manufacturers should also think of it. Also this could be very useful when buying a Used car..u can get all the service history.
