I must say the Ad quality from Fiat have definitely improved compared to that nonsense "thoda kum naho ho sakta" Ad

re: Fiat to launch lower-priced Linea Classic* EDIT: launched at 5.99L*

The Linea Classic Fire is a excellent deal for someone on the look out for a full size sedan on a budget. It is not entirely stripped of equipment too. This should turn out as a 7lac OTR car. It is sure to look odd with those fourteen inch rims with cycle tires. Few care about such aesthetics in our market. Hope these budget versions assist sales.

  • 15K KMs Service interval - this is a big benefit for Taxis
  • Good boot space and ride comfort
  • Taxi segment does not care about missing safety features or ugly looking wheels

Agreed, But the Premier Padmini shells can never be compared to the modern day linea's body which is much lighter and the setup should made more for comfort than ruggedness, even if it means the shelf life of the car is going to be only five years.

Heard that the driveability is better than a Punto MJD 75 hp and also plush, despite wearing puny shoes. Also feels quite inside out with better sound insulation and motor thrum is less pronounced than current gen MJD's.

Regarding MJD's serving the taxi segment it has a long way to compete with the already reliable ford's n renault's. Guru's like rehaan, GTO or Anshuman kindly throw some light which still looks like a grey area.
