Minor Changes have been made to the 3, X3, etc. too you can check www.bmw.in for any more information.

The only significant feature missing is the reverse camera, and that, AFAIK, is available at the dealers as an accessory.

But, after deleting the Harman stereo, paddle shifts and replacing LEDs with Xenons and 18" wheels with smaller rims, I feel BMW could have slashed prices by another 50k to make it an irresistible deal.

A couple of questions that have been buzzing around in my head.

1. Is it possible to get the M Sport kit on either a 520d or 525d? And

2. Does BMW offer BMW Individual in India? If so, is it possible to get a car with one of their custom paint jobs? I am particularly fond of Azurite Black and Moonstone Silver.

The 525d has been discontinued. You could buy M sport kit as an accessory from the M performance range.

BMW Individual is available in India only on the 7 series.

What?! When did that happen? As far as I knew, they downsized the engine, but I wasn't aware that they discontinued it all together!

So now it's only the 520d and 530d?

And I feel it's really annoying that they don't even offer BMW individual on the 5 series! I mean, if I am spending 60 lakhs on a car, I should have the right to choose if I want it in a custom 2 lakh rupee paint job (considering everything is overpriced in India! In the UK, I guess it's barely 1100 GBP)!

Also, any idea what the OTR price for the 530d M sport is at the moment? Mumbai or Pune?

I bought 530d m sport pre facelift model (2013 assembled) from Mumbai at 53.2 lakh outside octroi.
In road official price of LCI was quoted 67.5 including octroi. I never negotiated on that model so can't comment on discounts.

Please let me know if there is any difference between the 2013 BMW 520d modern line and the 2014 version as we are being offered a 2013 car and being told there is no change in specs.

If it's face lifted version then there won't be any changes . But BMW has revised prices 2-3 times since then so do factor original MRP while negotiating . Also check carefully as there are only limited cars of 2013 left . If possible try to ask for different color option - just as an alternate .

As per news articles BMW has launched the 5 series petrol through the CBU route. The 181 hp Luxury Line 520i is priced at ₹ 54 Lakh Ex Showroom Delhi.
