I called the local VW dealer BU Bhandari for a test drive. The sales person told me that all Vento TDi DSG are sold out and that they don't have a car for test drive. I wonder how people buy a 12 L car without a test drive.

Came across an overdrive review of the Vento DSG. Although all sites have a Rapid DSG review, have not seen a Vento DSG official review from an automotive site apart from this one

have the vento dsg tdi deliveries started in numbers; been waiting for a long time with no confirmed dates, and dealer is saying that only a few comfort line variants were sent from the vw factory. This is for Bangalore.

What in the world! Why is the dead pedal missing from the Vento DSG?! :eek:

IMO, this is a must for the DSGs. During the test drive of the facelifted manual Polo, my left shoe kept brushing against the clutch every time I took my foot off the dead pedal but on the DSGs, there's plenty of space for the dead pedal.

Missing in my 2011 petrol AT Vento as well. Thanks to my relative upright position (knees almost at 90 degrees) I don't miss this much.

Correct. All the facelifted Polo models including the GTs get the dead pedal but not the Vento TSI nor the Vento TDI DSG.

I got a test drive on the VW owned car which was brought to the dealers a few days before launch. Go to the dealership directly and request them. As per sources at VW all dealers will be given TD cars in mid Jan when the production of the DSG starts full fledged at the Plant here.

Going by past history, team bhp does not officially review 2 cars which are very similar in most aspects (especially face lifts). Since the Rapid TDI DSG and Vento TDI DSG are mechanically identical, I don't think there will be a Vento DSG official review.

VW had launched Vento Magnific now!

Highline will now have Blaupunkt multimedia touch screen system, Android tablet with capacitive screen and an exchange bonus up to INR 20K.

Comfortline will now get alloy wheel, Garmin navigation system and exchange bonus up to INR 20K.

Apart from the exchange benefits, this is same as what they were calling as Vento Konekt up until now. Somebody suddenly felt that Konekt is not a nice name and Magnific sounded better? lol:

Any update on when the updated Vento will be launched? i was considering this, but don't want to be stuck with a model outdated in just few months.

This is the new Jetta which was launched recently and not a Vento. Am i missing something
