Thank you for sharing. Please make sure you add a watermark next time. I have reported the post to the mods to add watermark to the pics this time.

1. Is the limited edition going to be ONLY in white?

2. For a change, I LOVE the graphics on the bonnet.

3. Red roof rails? You just took it a lower level Mahindra!

re: Special edition XUV500. EDIT: Now with Pics!

As a domestic manufacturer, M&M has me rooting for it.

Sales figures aside (for such SUV's as the Scorpio and Bolero) but come on you designer guys (and gals) at M&M, you can do better! What's with those odd looking flourishes and crinkles all over the XUV? (And I'm not just talking about this special edition)

Re: Special edition XUV500. EDIT: Now with Pics!

What happened to Mahindra's designers on this one? The original XUV was a lovely design; a tad overdone yes, but had a coherent design pattern. This one looks to be done by different people - from the graphic designers to the colour guys - who weren't talking to each other. And in the end instead of creating a special XUV, they seem to have created an especially XUV - Xtra Ugly Vehicle.

Re: Special edition XUV500. EDIT: Now with Pics!

Wow What on earth were the M&M Designers thinking of this shoddy stickering job? Think they beat Maruti which in contrast looks more appealing compared to this road side treatment.

Woah M&M XUV team you have completely gone bonkers with the stickers and the alloy wheels! The whole package looks very very el cheapo in my opinion... If they had added a little more chrome, it would have been an official disaster.

Frankly I think this hideous job looks like that of the Mahindra dealer and not by M&M ..... downright ugly

Pardon my ignorance but can you direct me to the process of adding Team BHP watermarks ? I tried searching but did not find anything relevant.

Not sure about the color options but I was informed that around 1000 xuv's are being rolled out as a part of this special edition.

Re: Special edition XUV500. EDIT: Now with Pics!

I assume this is the same version that was reported by IAB back in January.

http://indianautosblog.com/2014/01/m...edition-111201

Love the graphics , but they have over done the rest with red.

Re: Special edition XUV500. EDIT: Now with Pics!

I don't much care for the sticker job but as I mentioned this looks to be a W6 (cloth upholstery) with the W8 alloy wheels.

I wonder what other useful stuff like alloys has been added onto it. If the price is close to W6 then removing the hideous stickers will make this variant a good buy.

Mods please delete if this is off topic::

Wondering if the following news is discussed in the forum.

I could not find any thread with the latest developments on XUV AT.

Re: Special edition XUV500. EDIT: Now with Pics!

I thought Safari Storme Special [Explorer] Edition to have the worst sticker job to benchmark, until I saw this masterpiece on XUV.
Nothing else than a stock clearance tactics, for me. Mind you, Mahindra is reportedly planning to halt production at its plants for up to three days this month for the same purpose.

Unfortunately, even with brand new 2014 models, owners are facing issues including the famous clutch related issues. They are better off putting in better efforts to sort out those mechanical/quality flaws rather than these inferior sticker jobs.

You can open the pic in some image editor and use the "word" tool (?) to add a text which reads "team-bhp" ! Of course, we need NOT have the actual text / font standards of team bhp (that's neither available anywhere to use - so it's we are on our own to create a water mark). It's just to highlight we uploaded the image first.

Also please try NOT to use bold letters, get a bit difficult to read. Quoting itself would the desired job.

Re: Special edition XUV500. EDIT: Now with Pics!

Cannot refrain from posting this! My 7-8 year old Scorpio had a decent stickering job, though was slightly not to my liking! This stickering job beats that hollow!

The sticker running on the roof has only to be enjoyed from high rises and roof tops, the red stab on the rear looks very cheap, the red stickers/spots on the wheels make this a circus car to go around the wheel of death!!

M&M- Please do not make such blunders again and again! As SDP said, give something exclusive to the market and we shall lap it up- a rally spec kind of XUV, Power boosted XUV, Innovative matte coloured XUV etc.

Yes this is being discussed already. Infact when motorbeam put up the pics I had deduced from the stickers that this is the Aisin AW under test and not a XUV 500 for the japanese market.

Going a bit OT.
Please forgive me.

However, I could not help. The pic of "Mahindra" XUV shared above by SDP has but "Maruti' and 'Suzuki' stickers pasted all over
