Rumour: New-gen Mitsubishi Pajero Sport India launch in 2018

Mitsubishi will reportedly be launching the new-gen Pajero Sport in India in April 2018. The company is yet to make an official announcement about the same. The new-gen model was unveiled in 2015 and is already on sale in multiple markets, including Thailand, Indonesia, Qatar and Middle East.

I wonder are they still making money in India with the type of sales figures they have to their credit. Are they doing anything to build themselves up in this part of the world?

The old generation Pajero was a wonderful vehicle and is still seen around. The newer generation was good but not many sales.
It seems Mitsubishi is not bothered about the Indian market and they have given up against the likes of companies like Toyota (Fortuner being a direct rival). Let's hope the new Pajero which has very good reviews on YouTube comes to India with a bang.

Even in the current avatar, Pajero is a good SUV. The problem is with the thinking people at Mitsu. If they have decent service network with affordable parts, IMHO, they can sell the current portfolio as well.

It would be such a pity if they bring the new Pajero but cannot sell it due to the known issues with Mitsu.

God knows what these people are thinking!

Yes parts is a major problem and service network as well. Sometimes it takes weeks for a part to arrive. Second to this, there are also duplicate Pajero parts floating in the market which are of poor quality and not very welcomed by Pajero fans.

Wonder why Mitsubishi isn't raking in the benefit of being a part in an alliance with Renault - Nissan. Oh wait, neither are they.
