Good catch!

There are obviously two XUV500 variants/ models (?) in the video.

The one in the first portion has a set of DRLs, above the headlamp barrels, so a new headlight cluster for sure. Also would mean addition of DRL.

The second one has a different grill but the same "S" guidelamps as is the case with the current model in production (current gen doesn't have a DRL, as you know :)). Grill is new, assuming its going to be carried over to the market.

The acceleration of the MUV is impressive.

Posting a screenshot of the new DRLs from the video here.

If you look closely the MUV seems to be riding much better than the XUVs. Both the on test and the one in which the video maker is sitting. You can see the XUVs bobbing a bit over expansion joints and road imperfections whereas the MUV remains flat. MUV may be the first Mahindra with a good ride.

Here's another video of the same line up caught before but this time its more clear video and focuses more on MUV and Tivoli.

I'd too suggest wait up, Its not going to be cosmetic this time, A power bump is mostly confirmed, Add to that knowing mahindra they will surely price is aggressively, I was able to get the New gen facelift just after 8-9 days since it was launched so i guess should be the same with the next one.

Well mahindra has played spoilsport by not launching the car at the expo. :Frustrati
They were just focused on the electric mobility topic in their speech.

I guess their announcement would have been overshadowed with the unveiling of the new TATA SUV platform.

Clicked on this link hoping to see some information about the 170 bhp XUV, but turned out to be something else.

The new engine will be extremely refined – for a diesel. We say this as the 2.2 liter mHawk turbocharged diesel engine is already a very refined unit, and the report about the new diesel raises the bar even higher on refinement levels. The new, 2 liter diesel engine will be introduced by Mahindra before April 2020, the month when the BS6 emission norms kick in.

Mahindra and Mahindra will launch yet another facelift of the hot-selling XUV500 around Diwali this year. The upcoming facelift will bring in a few styling tweaks and some new features. It has been rumoured that the updated XUV500 will get a more powerful, 170 BHP, motor. However, in our recent interaction with a company official, this claim has been completely quashed.
Then whats the one that were seen doing test runs for so long. Additional power with addressing the areas of improvement like better ride & brakes, reliable infotainment system, middle row adjustment etc will help to keep up or improve the sales further for sure.

Here is another news which says the hike in power will be 10 bhp. The list of upgrade features

Mahindra XUV500 Upgrade 2018 Features
New Headlamp with DRLs on top
Revised front grille
New split design taillamps
Revised tailgate design
New alloy wheels
Premium interiors
Piano Black finish on centre console

The 2018 Mahindra XUV500 170 bhp (150 bhp) launch date is expected to be mid-2018. It shall be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018. There will not be many changes but it will be more attractive with newer features this time.

The brakes will be upgraded for fade-free experience.

This is one important area where they should really bring the change.

Oh Lord, please bring it as soon as possible. Much awaited launch for SUV crazy country.

Looks more like a masala to me. They still saying unveil at auto expo 2018, i mean seriously.

What happened to this update ? WHY the delay ? Stop being so lazy Mahindra !
We will have to think of other options if they dont give us a clear idea. In-fact a friend went ahead and booked a Hexa because he got tired of waiting.

Facelifted XUV500 could be launched by April 2018.

Apparently, production of the W4 and W9 variants of the existing XUV500 range have been discontinued from the beginning of March, 2018. Only existing stocks at the factory are available.

W6 & W10 variants are being produced but that too in limited numbers.

The all-new XUV500 is scheduled to enter production next month. Confirmation from sources:

1) Power bump from 140HP to 150HP. (170HP has been dropped)
2) New design alloys.
3) Revised, enriched interiors, including dashboard plastics.
4) DRLs in front headlamp units.
5) New front grille.
6) Slight design revisions for the boot door and rear bumper.
7) Improved brakes with lesser nose dive.

The all-new XUV500 is supposed to launch by end-April. Deliveries to begin by mid-May.

There is a ₹63,000 discount running on XUV as per newspapers, so the next iteration is for sure due.
