The wooden interior looks very fresh. Good to hope that cabbies will have gray interior and private owners will have wooden (unless cabbies too upgrade to higher versions!)

Only thing missing now is middle row armrest. Hope India version has that. Everything else looks good.

I think wooden inserts are only specific to Z or Z+ variants, same goes with Dzire too.
Armrest should have been there, Vitara too has it and Ertiga obviously is priced much higher. Also cruise control should be part of the package. BR-V has that.
The touch screen should have been bezel less(at least narrow) This one looks like portrait hanging on the wall with thick frame

The first production of All-New Ertiga rolls out from its Indonesian plant in Cikarang.

Suzuki expects to sell an average of 5k cars /month.

Curious to know the weight of this new Ertiga. The old one's curb weight ranged between 1160-1190 kgs.

Here is the weight mentioned, could be of the MT variant.

Suzuki's mantra is keeping everything light, so the new Ertiga has a dry weight of only 1,180kg, way below that of traditional seven-seaters.

If 1180 kg is the kerb weight of the MT version, it is only slightly lower than BR-V Petrol MT whose weight is between 1199 to 1235 kg.

They have mentioned dry weight, not kerb weight! Must be as heavy as BR-V if not more.

Looks nice, and hope India gets this one. Just that the grille is too blingy with the chrome. If that can be toned down, this will be one sharp looker.

From what I hear, Maruti will be launching the gasoline K15 engine version first followed by the CNG version. The diesel version with the homegrown 1.5 L or 1.3L engine is delayed apparently. They might be rethinking a diesel variant as the demand is low and getting lower. Have to wait and watch their strategy out.

So how does it work out? I am sure majority of Ertiga sales are diesel engine.

They can't delay the launch, but they can't offer petrol only variant too!!

Will the new ertiga continue with current diesel engine until BS6 eventually kicks in?

They might do what you are saying to satisfy the Taxi segment with the D13 VGT. But knowing Suzuki, they will definitely have the next gen mild hybrid tech included as well in gasoline. They will probably pitch that as the " kitna deti hain" option for the customers. And hard sell the higher power K15 engine as well.

Is this 1.5 petrol the same engine that will power S-Cross?

Currently there is no petrol engine on offer for S-cross

We know that this engine will be offered on both ertiga and ciaz.
