I think some cities have high number of VWs and Skodas but i guess they do not exist in other cities (tier 3 or small towns). Even at 2% the numbers would be in the range of 60K per year, if this is concentrated in the top 10 cities then that is still some number of new VW and Skoda you would see on the road (in additional to higher numbers that were sold during 2009 - 2014)

Speaking of suv crazy, Any numbers on the 2 Isuzus mux and the vcross? Would be interesting to see how these 2 are doing.

wohoo! 54% market share. What a dream come true for MSIL. Mr RC Bhargava is really taking MSIL to a place where it will be impossible to defeat it in the market. All new launches are runaway successes. I just wish they launch a Innova competitor in the market with deep discount. It would be fun.

Right. But some corporate honchos in these parts go for the FORD when they don't have to pay for it. Company cars to get the kicks out of the panoramic sunroof or the auto parking feature.

OT, but can't help commenting.

Despite having a population just a shade higher than India, how does China manage to sell more than 6 times as much cars as India? Last heard we were neck-to-neck with China in becoming prosperous.
