A dealer in Bangalore said the price details will be available after the third week of January. The dealership where I pre-booked the Compass does not have any idea of when the prices will be revealed or when they can deliver the vehicle. I was also pretty close to asking for a quote for my old vehicle last month. I guess I will have to hold on to it for another month at the very least.

I like what I see so far. The interiors seem absolutely plush and a step up in every way, probably commensurate to the price tag now. Good to see 360 cameras, ventilated seats, wireless charging, electronically adjustable seats for both driver and passengers and if I heard Mr Datta correctly did he also mention a one-touch electronic tailgate?

The focus seems to be to make it more refined, more luxurious and of course on connected car tech.

It's good that Jeep has extended the electronic seat adjustability to passenger side as well + memory function for 2 + ventilated seats which will be a huge plus in our humid/hot conditions.

Only thing I wish is that they should properly tune the 9 speed Auto in the diesel variants. And that they do a price correction as well. Ok that makes it 2 wishes.

P.S.: That placement of EPB switch is awkward or down-right dangerous. Imagine an kid sitting in the passenger side and "accidentally" pulling that while taking a phone from that wireless phone charger.

Yeah, I thought so too, but it was not stressed upon properly and it is not listed on the website as well. Not a serious requirement, but I hope they do provide that.

This time I feel Jeep has hit it out of the park hope they do not get greedy like Toyota did with the Fortuner and it should get the booking registers ringing for the dealers.

If Mahindra can make 4x4 standard drive on the Thar and price it within 20lac, I don’t see why Jeep cannot make AWD standard along with 6 airbags across its Compass range.
