TUV300s are also not very common. Here 2 of them adjacent to each other with my storme. 3 traditional ladder on frame SUVs & I love how the shadows at the rear fall in the same line.






Talking of Registration numbers

My 2008 Herohonda Karizma R and my friend's 2021 Mahindra Thar have almost the same number except for one number

It was in 2018 in Bangalore. I was driving my Swift vxi grey and right in front of me came a grey swift vxi ka 03 mz 3295, mine was ka03 mz 3294 with the same style India number plate. For a split second I thought that was my car being driven away by someone else. 😀

Don't have any pictures but back at the end of 2020, I'd moved back home to Lucknow from Bangalore and was driving a Hyderabad-registered Superb.

Had gone to the local Skoda service center in Lucknow (they're really good) for getting my throttle body replaced. Coincidence or sheer luck, another black 2.0 TDI Superb was there for the same issue. Funny yet, the car was from Salem (TN30 while mine was AP10).

The coincidence of two cars of similar config and belonging to the South ended up in at the same workshop in a northern hick town capital for the same issue!

This was a fun co-incidence that I spotted when I had my old gen Figo.

The above car is mine and the one below was spotted when I was on my bike.
It was the same color, same variant, and from the same showroom.
Except that it would have been bought a couple of years later.

The night after Ford India sent me the divorce notice, I spotted this while walking towards my car. Another abandoned child.

So, I am waiting at Lajpat Nagar parking, busy in my mobile as my wife does the rounds.
Suddenly I sense someone opening the rear seat, dumping few bag and then opening the passenger side door to step in, only that it is not my wife but some other lady!

There is awkward moment when we both a stunned, which is broken by a gent who comes rushing in.

It turns out, we have same red coloured Ford Freestyle, parked just a couple of cars apart!
The gent noticed his wife's mistake and came running down!

The poor lady was supremely embarrassed even though we all had a good laugh about it.

I own a White Seltos (yes, nowadays you see more Seltos' on-road than autorickshaws). So this happened in Cochin 2 months back when I went to meet my cousin who stays slightly interior and I had to take a very narrow road which leads to a 3-way intersection and call it coincidence or KIA's success; when I reached the junction, all the 3 roads met at the same point with 3 Seltos'!

My incident happened while we are traveling to Athirapilly water falls. On the way I noticed a Creta with same number plate as my Polo which is 2070. I have seen same plates before too, I overtook him and traveled. 2 or 3 hours later while parking the same guy parked next to me, coincidence!

I had a similar experience. My first car, the red swift bore registration number KL02AB5520. After selling this car, my next car was my i20. The registration number alloted was KL02BA5025.

Same digits for both cars, completely at random!

When I bought my first bike in 2019, the plates read KL 39 P 39_5.
When I bought my first car in 2021, the plates read KL 39 R 5_93.

Both 5 and 93 are my date and year of birth respectively.

I've got two of them - both doozies :-

1. So my S-cross registration number is HP 63 8407. My elder brother who is in the army belongs to 63 Cav Regt, His year of commissioning is 1984 and his chest No in NDA squadron was 07. He doesn't remember his car registration number but can never forget mine!

2. Recently a junior of mine picked up a used i20 in Assam. His registration number is AS 01 AK xxxx. And guess his name - Ashok!!! Swag on point!

I just remembered this one -

As a young boy living in Mumbai, there used to be Maruti Esteem parked in one of the garages with a number plate 1521. The family there sold their apartment and after a few days of being empty, when the car of the next family was parked there, it had the same number 1521, even though the make and model was different. It totally blew my mind. I didn't have a clue about registrations series, RTOs back then, so it seems like magic to me
