The gxi is a trim level so I guess they're saying that a Vtec will be launched with Gxi trim levels (which will make it cheaper than the current Vtec). This means that you'll get a Vtec but with lesser bells & whistles (though it could surely do with More, not less )

plain and simple...SX4 is fresh and new and the NHC is getting old and boring IMHO. too many of 'em here in bangy. i'd just go for the SX4 to feel fresh for a couple years...i dont need to reiterate the VFM, safety, goodies etc. etc. here...SX4 beats NHC hands down.

First, honda might not reduce the prices on the existing Vtec and certainly not after adding the goodies. Expect it to be atleast 1-2L dearer. Would all those who have voted for the honda still buy one?

Are you on the Board of Honda India Ltd?

Letz wait for the Honda response!
I am sure they will be forced to add Safety features to NHC Gxi and offer it at par with SX4 Zxi price, Vtec will command the same premium but with Safety features!

Its called prediction, or just plain common sense guessing what plans honda might come up with. Maybe you ought to read better.

I wonder why would honda reduce the prices so much. Wonder how will those owners who paid a bomb for it react. Either ways its bad enough for honda.

There were similar posts from others as well, wonder why you picked me? We are contemplating this issue and I dont see anything wrong in it.

Oops, so you were predicting!
But the words 'might' and 'certainly' were bit confusing.

Well, if all BHPians start predicting, that T-bhp database will run out of space, letz rather wait and watch, and then come to conclusions!

Boss, I suggest you stop nitpicking. If you have something valuable to add please do so. If not refrain from getting OT with such petty issues. Let the mods decide on how to clear free space.

Chose the SX4 only because of the greater power.

@finneyp, mclaren was expressing an opinion a lot of us share - both which prefer NHC and which prefer SX4.

unless you have got insider info we do not have.

Nope not possible. Raising the VTEC's price by 2L will take it dangerously closer to the Civic's price & even Honda's not that stupid to mess up between its own products in different segments.

I would expect a price rise of aroud 20-30k depending on model & spec.
