and how I want them to shine. First it was the Uno which garnered huge booking only for Fiat to bungle up, then it was the Palio which to me is still the hatch to buy in the segment. I hope its third time lucky for Fiat in India, they truly deserve it.

Hi,

Read on the forum that the rear seats are not so comfortable and less leg space as well (lesser than a Palio). This from a car bigger than a Palio... What are Fiat design engineers thinking.. People have the same grouse with Linea.

I guess I 20 beats Punto on this account (Jazz has decent leg room but in B++ segment)

Let us wait for 5 more days to see what they were thinking.
there's no point in speculation like this.

And Punto is longer than i20 by 60mm. Anyways this should really matter to peaple who has someone sitting in the back most times and that will not happen in my case, so i am cool.

I live nearby and am going to rush across if you did; maybe I'll go for a test drive of the linea and see if I can work things from there.
Well the lady called back as she promised and told me that it would not be possible. I was occupied at work yesterday so couldn't go. Hoping to gatecrash on saturday morning though. Lets see if the charm works.

Grande Punto is not bigger than Palio. 'Grande Punto' means bigger than Punto. Punto was a bit smaller car. The word itself says bigger than Punto (and not Palio)

If you compare Palio and GP, Palio would be bigger one in terms of size. GP ofcourse is altogether different in terms of styling and modern than Palio. But yes, in terms of back seat space, Palio is bigger than GP.

This is from my driving experience of GP in the UK.

Called showrooms in Pune and they haven't received the cars as yet. Probably would get it next week.

I heard from someone that the launch event would be in Delhi and not in Mumbai.

That's a definite let down for me. I was always under the impression that Punto was a bigger car as compared to Punto.

could it possibly be that the linea is delayed for the grande punto to come first??!!!!! or for em to be launched together??!!!
i know its a pretty crazy thought but a punto with no camouflage made me really curious!!
Linea is alreay out in market brother

Also few insider sources say its a VGT enigne same as linea diesel..
