IMO they looked so classy.
This is a sport version and many Merc sport versions have been this way for quite a while. The luxury variant comes with hood ornament.

Hood ornament is now an option on the new S type.

I really love the new C class and cant wait for it to hit our roads. 24-25 IMO is a little too optimisitic, ittl be more for sure.

I would say on-road prices of atleast 30-23L would be a safe bet for the new C.

Very very true, especially with German cars. And some homegrown (Indica, Scorpio etc.). Give them some time to iron out glitches before putting your money down.

That would be a different case. The entire 1st generation M-Class was a disaster, and not only the initial batches.

The new C will definately not come with a 24 lakh price tag as we expect. A 24 to 26 lakh showroom price will easily go to the 30 lakh mark on road here in Mumbai. What I'm waiting to see is if we get more engine options than before if Mercedes stick to the same powerplant options that we currently have.

It should be interesting to see how the first batch of New Cs fare in the Indianb market with regards to reliability. The 3 series is doing quite well even though they have a higher price tag. The 325i is working out to be 37 lakhs on road in Mumbai.

I Agree too, the Mercs have always kept their pricing above the competition, at least in India. So the C class coming in at 25-27 is humbug. That may be the ex showroom price in some U.T. Secondly. the c class is being sold at a discount. The logic is that when the E Class is being sold at a discount of 1.5 lakhs ( my cousin got one a month ago and also ask Scooby, he just got one a few days ago) why shouldn't the C class? Its not that its a best seller. They are actually having a problem selling the C now, moreover with the fab, 3 series BMW eating into its market.

just checked sahil your right.
the E200k is for 35lacs in bom and the current C200k is for 24lacs and C220cdi is for 26 lacs. i would estimate the new c to be a tad more expensive then the old ones so a price increase of 1.5 or 2 lacs seems realistic.

Guys please recheck the prices you are quoting. They are all ex showroom. By the time the car the road, the on road prices reach at least 4-5 lakhs plus that too conservatively. The E200K is 35 ++ the On road price reaches above 40 lakhs. So also the cclass reaches into the thirties and the cheapest one C180 which I dont think is made anymore would be closer to the 20-30 lakh mark. when discussing on road prices im discussing On the road, Bombay not thane, etc.

yes bhai i have quoted prices of bombay and current rates for the car. this is when i had got quotes for all models. my car was bought a day or two days around scooby uncles. the E280cdi cost 41lacs and with everything it costed around 50lacs.
all i am saying bhai is that the C200k costs 24lacs now and if you add realistically 2 lacs for the new model would cost 26lacs ++ so roughly around 30lacs mark.
correct me if i am wrong.
