All cars at North American auto shows have their gear sticks, volume control and all other knobs removed to prevent show goers from flicking them.

Man, I have a feeling they have modified the 2005 Camry to be the 2009 Corolla... I had this car and the interior looks exactly the same. In fact, I got carried away that this is CAMRY..!!!
And the exterior is 2007 model Camry..!!!!
In that case, how the 2009 Caamry is going to look like...
Crazy it seems...!!!

I noticed that quite a few companies do this in car shows. Maybe its so that people dont play with the gear shift too much.

Really? I haven't heard about that. Will keep my eyes open when I go to the Auto show this weekend.
Quite practial,I'd say. Some people are so nosey, they'd pull everything off the car.

2009 Toyota Corolla: First Drive!: Report by Canadian Driver.

The higher end variants get climate control. Doesn't the Indian Corolla come with climate control? Also, Toyota has pushed the envelope ahead of the Civic by giving higher end variants a "smart key" with push button engine start/stop.

The high end version, probably the XRS version, seems to have a whole lot of goodies! Definitely going to give the Civic a tough fight.

I agree that the civic is a much better looking car, I find that Honda tends to make more agressive looking cars than Toyota who favour bland and conservative looks, the new Camry being an exception. But how many of those do you see on the roads ???

Dear Dragon,
The New Camry is a overkilled whooping 22 Lakhs.. You can by a Corolla and a Cedia for that Price... No way comparable in price-wise.. That's why you see more Civics than Corollas..
Morover, Camry is in the segement as Accord...

I dont know if anybody agrees with me.. The current Corolla doesn't look luxurious enough to justify it's price.

[Excuse me this only how I feel]

However, this new Corolla looks more luxurious and has good design as well. Curious to see it's new interiors...
