Bravo is being planned to be released as a CBU, just like the 500. But, some news item in economic times seemed to suggest that Fiat is planning on localising Bravo to some extent; I do not know how much though. This would be a sensible decision, as not many people will pay around 20l for Bravo.

Wont this take time.I dont think it will be bravo first in any case.Hoped to see the palio mjd a month back .It would be taking its own sweet time now.People at the showrooms were of the opinion that punto would be launched by next month though.

A 1.9L Multijet engine delivering 150 bhp & 305 nm torque. It is going to be above 16Lakhs, targeted to be in CRV segment.
But i thought it was a hatchback..and if it is then for the price quoted fiat has to do a lot of hard selling and ramp up its service networks to get some decent traction in the market. Or this thing is going to go the adventure way too...good car but not sold properly. The 1.9 Multijet sure sounds good

Hi,

The price point is definitely too high given the perception of the car as a hatchback. The high prices are definitely a factor of the the car coming in under the import tarrif regime.

It's good that Fiat is coming up with all new models into India, hthey come in a full fledged way by naming their own Service Centres in all the corners of India.

This will make them to build the brand into a bigger way

I am hoping for the Linea to come into India at the ealiest, getting tempted to buy one.

Saw an article in yesterday's Hindu about Bravo coming soon. And the price mentioned was like 20-22lakhs IIRC. For a hatch ? These guys at Fiat sure are nuts.

Well, love and all is good, but will that translate into a buy at that price point is the question ?

Wonder what the fiat people are up to.There are so many rumors on the different launches from the company and the hear say about the prices are also so very unrealistic as if they are here to show off rather than selling the products.

I don't understand why all this fuss about Fiat?

500 and Bravo is brought here as CBU, hence the high price, but please remember these cars are not for common mass, it is primarily to showcase Fiat's prowess in making Cars and build a strong brand image before they launch Linea and Punto, and there will be a few who don't mind throwing money to own these beauties!
