No idea of the prices there ,but it should be in the region of the prices quoted at other areas. One advice is that dont wait for more time as the bookings are very good and waiting period has already crept in.

dZire Vxi sure seems to be a very good deal, a ex-showroom price of 4.79L in Bangalore.

The launch in Bangalore is today!

Just called up Sagar Auto. They say the OTR and the other details will be out by this evening.

Should one pray and hope that at least the high end version gets a little bit more leg room at the rear seat due to the reduction in boot space ?

I too noticed this last night while reading their ebrochure and was wondering the same.

Also, what's with the VXI getting a 12V charger in the in the center console ? What does that mean ?

If dZire eats into Swift's sales, I think MSIL would be happy.
Not in the case of SX4. MSIL better do something in this department. Where is the 1.9 MJD? We'll be very happy to see it coming soon.
The 1.9 DDIs for SX4 is targetted towards the second half of the year. Production capability is a problem for MSIL right now. They plan to up the ante by 2010 and increase the capability two-fold by then.

Kochi Prices

Lxi 4,44,747
Vxi 4,92,747
Zxi 5,85,747

Ldi 5,34,747
Vdi 5,80,747
Zdi 6,65,747

Price in Kerala is cheaper than Delhi Price!!!

One more stupidity from Maruti.....
ZDI and ZXI don't have 12 V outlets in center consore. As i noticed earlier, it sport a hole instead. However their brochure indicates 12 V socket in VXI and VDI.

Perhaps it is due to the space taken up by rear speakers??

What I hate about Dzire is that the rear legroom is still same as Swift !

I had dreamed about an improvement, but in vain !

It's a 12V outlet, not a charger.

Yes, VXi and VDi have a 12V outlet in the center console, where you insert a phone charger/cigarette lighter to make them work. Whereas, the ZXi and ZDi already have a cigarette lighter inserted into the 12V outlet. You can pull the cigarette lighter out and insert a phone charger instead and the outlet will give you the 12V required.

As for the prices, variant-wise and city wise, they are available at the Dzire website.

But I have still not been able to figure out the reduced boot size in ZXi and ZDi as compared to other variants. As an afterthought, is it because of the size of the speakers?

Yes, the legroom is the same as Swift because the wheelbase is retained from the Swift hatchback. However, they have reclined the seats a wee bit. Not sure how much that helps the comfort level of rear seat passengers. I would assume a marginal improvement from the hatchback.

Just saw a test car in Viman Nagar on my way to CCD. Looks pretty good in flesh. Alas! didn't have a camera handy. Many have said and I second that Maruti have a winner in their hands.
