Wow this is the Toyota RAV4.

[Edit] - I just realized that i could be wrong. Could be because i like the RAV4. The roof rails resemble Hyundai Santa Fe.

why would Toyota be testing its vehicles in MH. Toyota usually tests their vehicles in Blr or Blr-Mysore highway. IMO, this is the Hyundai Santa Fe.

Yes, that's Santa Fe!! It s a good vehicle but pricing is the key factor if H want to sell more.

Around 15L may find many takers :-)

What is a CUV?

Please pardon my ignorance, but what is a CUV? I know SUV, MPV etc., but CUV is a new acronym to me.

Where did MH come into picture from? AFAIK, Sid is based in Delhi/NCR and therefore there is a high likelihood that this pic was clicked in one of the NCR cities. Unless of course he was travelling to MH
On a different note, if Hyundai, as reported earlier, is planning to bring in SF as a CBU, what is this trial/test for? Additionally, Delhi/NCR doesn't have an ARAI/similar organization where vehicles are mandated to pay a visit before their launch in Indian market.

Its a SUV and not a CUV like mentioned by sidindica.... Yup its a Hyundai Santa Fe which is currently doing test in and around the country before launch during the month of july - august ..... Pricing looks to be in the region of 20 lakh plus .. but hyundai will have to get the pricing right if it has to take the fight to the Fortuner and the Captiva....

CUV is a crossover utility vehicle which falls between a car and a utility vehicle. All soft roaders are CUVs in a way.

I wonder if it will replace the Tuscon or will be sold by its side. The pricing is the key factor here.

I see a 4WD badging on the pic posted by sid. It isn't there on the pic posted bt aman.

Nice find.

Hyundai will bring it as a CBU as confirmed by the company and I dont see many takers at its Rs 20+ lakh pricing.

+1 to that.
20 lacs?? Hyundai can expect decent sales of the Santa Fe only if it is priced competitively lesser than the segment leader CRV and the Captiva.

Verna seems to be the most expensive vehicle that Hyundai has managed to sell successfully. IMO the I20 has given hyundai to try and sell a SUV >20L in India. The Terrecan and the Tucson did not pick up in the market at all. Have to wait for the price
