Ford Fiesta starting from 5.38L (ex-showroom) for 10 days!!

Quoting from an ad in TOI
" Ford Fiesta from 5.38L (ex-showroom, Bangalore) from 10 days, valid from 3rd Dec to 10th Dec. The reduced price is applicable for the 1.6 EXI Duratec Petrol variant. Prices will vary accordingly for the others."

The sticker ex-showroom price without this offer in bangalore is 6.2L . A drop of 80k . It is the end of year and discounts are expected, but this price cut seems to be quite deep. If we extrapolate to other variants, the 1.6SXI/Sports with all bells and whistles, should be available at around 7.5L On road.. Seems a steal.

haha great. Buy the Petrol Version. Go for the hot looking alloys and a good spoiler and a few changes in the interiors and mae the EXI ver. a Sport Variant. lol You still save a lot of money.

is that a response to the newly launched ANHC or what. However december is a month where buyers avoid buying cars as the change of year is just around the corner. So maybe this move is to boost up the sales and thats why its for a very limited period. But a steal of a deal indeed.
I would have definately bought one if i had 6-7L of spare cash lying around :P

Sameer, check the fine print in the ad. It mentions 5.38 lakhs is the price for the 1.6 EXi.

Re: Is this only for the Exi?

Is this only for the Exi? What about the sport version? How much will it cost?
Is this available countrywide?

If that's true, it's a really good offer. If the Ex-showroom price is 5.38L, OTR will come just above 6L, right? That's a good bargain for the Fiesta.

Is it across models across India? Or just in Bangie, and just for Exi? Sounds like begining of good times for consumers and bad time for manfacturers.

So, finally is ford join GM. Almost 80K discount is good.

Are they feeling heat from new launches of other vehicles or is this just to clear the 2008 modles? Either way, good offer. Cheers.

I think there are two main reasons for this.
1) Slowing economy.
2) Launch of G3HC.

IMO, Fiesta in diesel format appeals a different customer that G3HC and the 1.6 S also appeals to a different customer than G3HC, but its the EXi that is head on with G3HC, so a price reduction is noticed. Add to that the economy trouble.

But then its great VFM.

Another reason for this heavy discount could be clearing off of 08 stocks, coupled with a slowing economy and the launch and prospective launch of competitive products. Super value at 5.38 lacs ex-showroom. The 1.6 is a great car to drive!

For 5.29 its a grt deal for the Ford, the milage for the Petrol isent bad ie city driving - 10-11kmpl and on highways - 13-14kmpl but the driving pleasure is immense on this Fiesta. Go for it and make most of the Year End deal.

Ps. The Swift costs same which is no where near the Fiesta in terms of Comfort, Refinement, Quality etc. Makes the pricing similar to that of the Accent.
