I think this thread has already gone a long way.
Well let me say.I was not that keen to buy a Nano at first go.But my father who is retired and is still using his well maintained Premier Padmini wanted to buy nano (@ any cost). So i have booked three of them top models (Online) (I thought that will increase the chance of fetching one).
Now i was just a bit worried that in case all three are thru than what am i going to do.
Anyways lets see, I am keeping my fingers crossed.

June 2009 TopGear-UK magazine has a review of the nano and it was quite positive. The mag gave high points for the Nano's acceleration and brakes and was appreciative of the Indian version and price(est.) at market here. The article also ripped into shreds Indian traffic conditions, infrastructure and politicians which made for an interesting read.

Tushky, here's hoping that TML will ramp up capacity and you will get your car sooner than expected.

Hell , i got the alottment with my number in the last 10000. So delivery scheduled between sept to dec 2010.
:(
Cant wait that long.Imagine putting that high a booking amount and then waiting for a yr. and half? And suppose by then they manage to launch the diesel or the 3 cylinder motor or maybe front discs or maybe an openable hatch? How stupid one would feel to get a older spec. variant after waiting for a yr. and half?
The nano lx is costing 2.08 lacs on road now. Suppose Hyundai launches a compact at sub santro price or if the stripped down Alto with its proven reliability is costing only 60k more?
:((
Dont see no sense in this decision of tatas if they were so behind production. Only take as many applications as you cab handle in say 3 months max and they have already taken 2 months post 23 rd april 2009.
We were so looking forward to the nano as car for my wife. Now we have to look elsewhere.....
Just cant believe this....
Shall cancel tomorrow...
