@ Harshal - only 3 pictures? No article? Does mid-day have e-paper of the Ahmedabad version? Please post the entire article whenever it comes - tomorrow, day after etc
Here's the online version

but no details are provided than mentioned here, except better quality pictures. They have only written about what he tried to do and not what exactly was the problem, strange.

Crazy and stupid.
Now i feel Harish should burn down the whole dealership as he has much major problem than the safari. Common there are ways to deal with a situation and this should not be on the list at all.

So, is it defective because it got damaged or damaged because it was defective? Who came first?

Wouldn't the temperature gauge gone past north if this happened? Would not have been there enough indication if someone was observant?

Happened while the engine was warmed up and running, the TASS said that the hose had burst leading to coolant being drained out, anyways at speed it takes a little while to seize. This happened 7 years ago heard from a third person.

My Indica (now sold) too had a cooling system failure, this was suspected of 3rd party (valet) mischief rather than a part failure. However everything was settled post a tightening of the hose pipe & repacking of all seals around the hoses.

Regards

Owners shouting at service centers is a common sight. Its happens with all brands. This seems to be an innovative way of getting a good service.

^^ Come to think of it, TSK's is the most recent one of similar nature.

Just realized, I had the same issue with my Alto. Just before (and ~2/3 days after an Ooty trip) an out station trip, I just popped to see under the hood and what I see is that the radiator coolant is way below the min level.

Got a can of coolant and filled it up. Back from trip and still noticed the level dropping. MASS found out that one of the couplings has loosened, the part where it connects to the engine, and coolant was leaking from there. With the maid cleaning the parking with water every morning, I failed to notice this leak.

Guess I averted a potential dangerous situation there!

Tata dealers must be too busy dreaming about sales push from Nano, and seem to have forgotten anything else! Spare a thought for Fiat owners, if this happens for real!

Yes -especially given the fact that Nano will initially roll out from Tata's Pantnagar light truck plant that churns out the 'Ace'. I wonder if they can stop the 'truck' culture from permeating into the Nano assembly line!

Extremely well said mate!!

Takes some guts and honesty to blow the whistle against a brand that you own! Not sure how many of us have the courage to do so! Kudos to you!

Guys,

No update on that safari incident in today's paper. Seems they are keeping the media out to get this case an extra lime light, unless the owner comes forward and does something.

That,s it, No more Ads of Tata Motors for The Ahemdabad Mirror(*). No wonder there are no details about the whole incident other than those pictures.

When they could shut down "protest against Tatas" thread on Team-bhp.com, why not the*AM.

Jai Ho, Mera Bharat Mahan

God bless.......
