It's almost 5.61 ex-showroom Cochin for the petrol asta. 70-80K premium over petrol should be more realistic but they are also launching the 1.4 Petrol so how would they price their variants then? Assuming that the diesel should be at a 70K premium over petrol the pricing would be:

1.2 Asta Petrol M/T- 5.61.

1.4 Asta Petrol M/T- 5.90 - 6.00

1.4 Asta Petrol A/T - 6.30

1.4 Asta Crdi- 6.50 - 6.70.

At 6.50 the diesel will be only 20K more then petrol A/T? In that case, it could go to 6.70? This is confusing!

way to go hyundai ... there are still some minor things i dont like in i20 compared to getz , however the specs + diesel mill is the icing .. hope the pricing is correct and they retain Getz CRDI at the old price ...

Awesome stuff Sid.. If they price this well, they can do much better than GP and Jazz put together. All eyes waiting for official pricing figures!

Hyundai wins round 1. Fiat does not have a good sales network. For example, no showroom here in Siliguri (where Hyundai, Maruti, Tata, Logan, Honda, Toyota, Mahindra all have their presence). So a prospective customer like me can't even dabble with the idea.

Mumbai dealers are still accepting orders for Getz Crdi at the low price. Asta OTR Mumbai expected to be Rs.7.5L.

i20 Diesel is available at Sharayu - Turbhe. This is the same car shown in the article attached by sidindica.

Thanks for sharing dude. So we got the trailer which looks absolutely promising. Take a 90 BHP diesel, build a high quality body and trim and add the ubiquitous Hyundai network - we almost have a sure shot winner in hands. Only if the price for Asta is on south of 6.5...

So my take on the prices based on that is:

1.2 Petrol Magna - 4.81

1.4 Petrol M/T Magna - 5.30.

1.2 Petrol Asta - 5.61.

1.2 Petrol Asta(O) - 5.82

1.4 Crdi Magna M/T - 5.99.

1.4 Petrol Asta M/T - 6.10.

1.4 Petrol M/T Asta(O) - 6.35.

1.4 Petrol Asta A/T - 6.45.

1.4 Petrol A/T Asta(O) - 6.58

1.4 CRDi Asta M/T - 6.85.

1.4 Crdi M/T Asta(O) - 6.99.

All prices ex-showroom Cochin. 1.2L prices from Hyundai website.
