Not this is the chassis price. Body work was done (is still?) done separately. I remember my school bus (a Tata chassis) had the plaque proclaiming Ruby coach builders.  1967 Rajdoot Motorcycles. One of friend's dad had one (not this model). It had a square fuel tank which was higher than the seat. To put it delicately, not a comfortable vehicle on bumpy roads.  1970 Indian Airlines Bombay Flight prices  1977 Suvega moped. I thought my mom had this when she was in college. Turns out I was mistaken. She had a Pearl Yamaha.  1980 Pan Am World Tour. Notice the asterisk indicating conditions apply. Misleading advertising IMO.  1985 Hero Majestic Hoarding at Bangalore.  1985 TVS 50 XL  1986 Kinetic Honda. Glad to see the helmet make an appearance in the ad.  1986 Rajdoot 175cc  1987 Bajaj Chetak for Rs 10,652 Back then, Chetak was for export only. Thus the mention of foreign exchange.  1987 KSRTC computerised ticket reservations. India goes hi-tech.  1988 Ambassador Diesel. Check out the fuel prices. Good old days eh?  1989 Luna. How many of you remember the iconic Chal meri Luna slogan? |

It surely has imprints from Mr Rahul Bajaj's mindset, as he was in awe of the fight for India's freedom wherein his grandfather and founder of the Bajaj Group played a pivotal role.
