thanx swift crazy. make sure u check u r car thoroughly before taking delivery.

Just saw my car at the stockyard yest. Looks great.
It was worth the wait.
It has 4.5km and no dents OR scratches. So made the payment today.
Will prob get the delivery by friday :)
Was really sad to see the state of the other NEWlol: cars in the lot. Take my advice. Get the car as soon as they are delivered. Your babies are treated like crap in the stockyard.

Congratulations! Enjoy it.

Whats the deal with the interest on booking amount though? Are the dealers honoring it ?

These guys are buggers. When i spoke about the interest amount, i was told that only those people who have paid more that 50k for booking will get interest

But i dont want to spoil my mood over 600 bucks when i just made a 6lakh purchase so.....:Cheering:

I am happy :)

A friend of mine decided to go for a new swift, after search for sunlight copper second hand proved futile. On checking with Khivraj was surprised that the waiting period was more than 6 months. Not weeks, months. Asked why he said some crap about manufacturing and stuff. Went to Indus and was told just 1 to 2 months and almost sat down to talk business, when another exec came by and told the 1st exec the period was increased to 6 months and asked him if didnt get the sms on saturday regarding the new times.

Almost all dealers have the same answer more than 6 months , initial amount of Rs.10000, no guarantee on exact date, prices to be fixed on the day the vehicle arrives, same goes for finance options (So can't avail the SBI finance offer given now) and all execs asking to go for Ugly booty Ritz. .

1/2 a year for a car seems a lot, especially when you can get alternatives like punto or i20 a lot quicker.

Any idea if there is a genuine reason for this delay? or they just trying for a premium and pushing for Ritz. If so is paying premium legal? Asked the execs straight forward if paying extra can reduce the delivery time. All said no.

Swift petrol production has been stopped as it is going to get a new engine by september or october...some minor cosmetic changes are also on the cards with the new engine

Yea everywhere the same story. They are pushing the Ritz like anything. Lot of demand for the Swift but it's not available. I'm getting some very good offers for my VDi. Considering that it's done over a lakh and in not the best condition, I'm tempted to sell and buy another car.

There are a lot of alternatives. i20, Punto, Fabia, Vista, Logan

That is what all dealers are saying.

Since the new engines will not be features on Dzire, what are the estimated delivery times of a petrol DZire Vxi?

glam is only a clearance sale. Swift with 1.2 KB series engine is expected anytime before this year end. That engine is BS IV compatible for emission norms

one of my friends had booked a Dzire VDI in March 2008 and he got it in September 2008 and that too a VXI Petrol as VDI would still take about a month more :(

In Coimbatore, the waiting peroid for the Swift hatch is 6 months for LDI and VDI respectively and 1 year for the ZDI
And for the dezire sedan ZDI the waiting period is a year again.
