AT is great news but sometimes I hate these guys who decide to give us an AT only in the top end variant. It's like we are babies and we can't choose to have AT in the lower-end models and they come down from heaven to save our day. We are already strapped big time for cash, drive in horrible traffic and if we want to get an AT, we need to pay for all the features we don't need.

But I guess this is the result of some BS market research based on which they decided only very rich guys want AT and it doesn't make sense to offer it for the low-end variants

AT not available in the LT model is a shame. The price difference seems steep too. Expecting tbhp to do a test drive soon.
How much is the price difference with a comparable Laura AT?

Which is why I like what Hyundai's doe with the i10 AT. Not exactly from D-lite onwards, but atleast from Magna onwards they have provided AT as an option, all the way upto the Asta. Whether you want the ABS and Sunroof is then upto you. The right way to do things I guess. Skoda's done it too with the facelifted Laura, if I'm not mistaken. Earlier they had it only in the L&K.

Just saw the car today. We could not wait for TD as we were getting late.

6 speed AT with tip tronic, no paddles.

On road price in Bangalore 16.4L, only available in LTZ trim.

13.45 for a Cruze at or 13.5 (less insurance) for an Altis AT, or 13-13.5 for a Civic AT. Make your choice. Many have already done so. In the few months since its launch, I have hardly seen more than 2 Cruze on Delhi roads.

Even i feel that auto boxes should be made as standard, driving in traffic conditions that we are subjected to, i think it will just make life easier !!

Pics of the 6 speed AT box and AT badging, the only differences. No paddle shifters.
Sid, Vicky-blog quotes the LTZ AT prices to be 14.51 for Delhi. Not sure if that is the ex-showroom or OTR price.

Pune Prices

I had been to chevy dealer in Pune on Saturday 9th Jan and was surprised to hear from the salesman that Cruze auto was launched 3 days before (9th). I was doubtful as there were no updates on team-bhp as well, but he also provided me with a printed price list that included AT

Here are the prices for Pune
Model Ex-showroom On Road (individual)
LT 1133517 1273228
LTZ MT 1319694 1481010
LTZ AT 1407249 1578726

Although its a different matter that ex-showroom prices on the website for LT are 1122736 and 1292280! The salesman mentioned that prices have increased.

I have asked for a test drive of both manual and auto and expecting a call by weekend.

Jaggu - really looking forward to your TD experience here. I am sure this 150 bhp machine with a 6 speed auto will rock!

Btw, isn't Laura a 7 speed one?

A Lakh rupees premium over the top of the line manual LTZ variant is definitely not a good move by Chevrolet. The pricing is dengerously too close to the Laura DSG, Now when Skoda has a automatic option for all the trim levels for Laura diesel.

I dont understand why is Chevy is not offering an auto option in LT trim level, a lot of people including me may not want the extra fancy stuff offered on the LTZ variant.

I agree on the pricing part. I had booked the Cruze LTZ on the 31st of oct through ashtavinayak (mumbai Dealer) but sadly they could not deliver the car in almost 2 months, the reason that the dealer gave there was a shortage of White colour from GM's end. After a long wait i finally decided to go for the Cruze automatic, will be making the final payment (difference amount from the manual to automatic) in a day or 2. Please provide any review possible as how is the auto transmission.

Mumbai OTR price for the automatic version is 15.94 lakhs. Though steep when compared to manual LTZ, but the problem of turbolag which was also reported in other threads was not noticed by me in the small test drive I took. The sales representative has promised me a proper test drive once the car has been registered with RTO and in return I have promised him his first auto cruze booking.
The closest skoda model will be elegance AT, which has price difference of approx 2 lakhs when compared to cruze. Detailed TD review to follow soon

Went to the showroom today...n saw the Black Automatic cruze. It was the same car that was used in some Apsara awards which happened a few days back. All the bollywood superstarts had given their autograph on the car & the showroom asst.manager informed that they are going to auction the car. Where as the normal curze automatic will go in production mostly by tom. The delivery date given to me was by the end of the month. So waiting anxiously for the car.
