Looks great/sporty. A swift Swift killer if it gets a right engine. Tyres looks 13plus and nice alloy.

Should be a 1.2 engine or else in Jazz/i20 category.

Nice hatch..looks Daihatsu-ish.On the other hand Sedan's front is similar to Logan-ish(probably coz of the pic) and rear is somewhat similar to Lancer, especially those taillights..

From the pics posted by Vid, the hatch really looks good. the sedan looks somewhat like the Logan, which isnt really too appealing considering the unclear pic we got to see.

Between, were these pics sneaked from the Auto Expo preparations?

Typical Toyota looks, please everyone, offend no one types !! The front & back of the hatch looks quite proportionate but the sedan back is squarish & reminds me of the Logan (Not a good thing)

Would be interesting to see how it fares against the VW Polo !

The pics were taken by a person standing on the first floor above the toyota stall, they must have been preparing for tomorrow's unveiling,
(according to what i read on the Facebook NDTV car & bike show page)

It Looks like a hot hatch a swift killer in all sense.... Sedans seems to be less appealing still the brand name should do the honors here... If they price them right got a major shift in premium hatch and entry sedan segments.

I think Toyota ia also going the Suzuki way, launching cars that have already passed their lifetime in other markets. They will also bring all the old dyes and manufacture it in India, as if India was a scrapyard. We Indians are all going gaga about it being a Toyota product. It is time that we gre up......

It sure does, and its front looks like Perodua kelisa's successor Perodua Viva.

It is because Perodua Kancil, Perodua Kelisa and Perodua Viva are based on Daihatsu Mira Gen 4, Gen 5 and Gen 7. I remember these cars from the following video :-

I am very sorry but I could not stop myself.

It does look rather dull like the disaster from Dacia!
I hope Toyota doesn't pull another Logan on us. Rather than launching a car from their vast stable, they have been hapring about a special cheapo 3rd world car. Sounds all too similar to Renault's rhetoric.

The hatch looks as small/big as a i10. This should be in the range of Rs. 4-6Lakhs.
While the sedan does look like mixture of Logan and Accent and should be in the range of Rs. 6-9Lakh.

IMO these cars will do good if priced correctly.

From the pics it looks like hatch would get grey interiors with i10 type front seats. The taillamps turn me off, now they remind me of the Nissan Micra.
