Sid, good show with the scoop, again.
From the pics I found on google it looks like a beetle design gone wrong! Is it the same Nissan Micra that's available with the 1.4L engine in UK?

Price looks 'ok' considering Driver side Airbag as standard. Could have been priced a bit low though.

Thank god they dropped that shade of green whatever that was!!!
Man sid.. you are one amazing guy..!
Specs look quite good.. XV features seems pretty innovative.. Would be an interesting launch indeed..
Pictures (variant is top end XV):
decklid with nissan logo and touch sensor which opens the boot, in conjunction with smart key/keyless go.
rear 3 quarter-looks quirky yet cute. ladies will surely love it.
side resembles old beetle and is evolutionary as compared to previous micra. Yet it looks refreshing.
front 3 quarter-evokes mixed reactions, some called it a baby cayenne.
front end resembles cayenne to quiet an extent. cartoonish perhaps? I loved it.
close up view of front end.
this angle is reminiscent of some curves from Porsche boxster.
side angle.
fron this angle, the car looks delicate and quiet mundane.
rear angle is bland, this car is a love it or hate it design.
taillights inspired from mini cooper.rear fog lights are NOT standard.
micra badging looks classy.
rear wash/wipe and defogger standard on XV
226 litre boot space. parcel tray flimsy and can be prone to rattles.
full size steel spare wheel and tool kit.
rear seats fold flat for more boot space. 60:40 split not standard on Indian version.
rear legroom is at a premium but good for a car of this size.
rear seat just about average in terms of comfort and cushioning.
Upright angle could be potentially tiring.
Integrated head restraints pretty useless as they are placed very low.
rear doorpad. Plastics are good quality and soft to touch. design is ordinary. No door pockets.
Dashboard in big and grey colour scheme in XV.
More pics coming up in a while.

I think it means that the glass when rolled up will stop if it finds some obstruction (like somebody's hand for example). In some vehicles, the glass will start rolling down also.

Simply amazing sid.
Am planning to buy a hatch and have almost finalized on swift. However, will need to reconsider my decision.
Nice car, Price is right too !
Amazing scoop again Sid. Hope to see more detailed info as we go along.
So this is another reason for confusion for the already confused hatchback buyer. :)

I think the price is already on par compared to Swift/Ritz, and it's really hard for foreign players to match Maruti pricing in India!
It's unsure of how well it'll sell in the male buyer territory, though there's gonna be a lotta ladies pickin' 'em up for sure!
As far as the current hatch competition goes, the specs on this one are really tempting. So there's still a high possibility of the Micra doing good in the market.
P.S. Sidindica, will you try doing a review on the new generation Teana that I see in some pictures? The rear resembles/reminds one of the Camry and the E-class Merc and sure is sinfully sexy for the price it comes for!
More pictures of XV
despite being equipped with a passenger airbag, the co driber side is extremely practical with dual glove box and a shelf as standard.
integrated audio with MP3 CD, aux-in and 4 speakers. No kind of remote whatsoever, not even on steering.
moulded roof lining, vanity mirror was not present on this car.
front door pad with power window controls, bland design, decent quality, bottle shelf and magazine pocket.
instrument cluster, fuel gauge is digital, no temp gauge.
centre console.
gloveboxes open, space decent, not class best.
engine start/stop button in conjunction with keyless go, only on XV.
audio looks funky, sound quality decent.
automatic climate control buttons look radical, pretty refreshing out of ordinary.
driver airbag is standard on all models.
controls for powered OSRVM, electric mirror retract and headlamp levelling device.
controls for bonnet opening and fuel tank opening on its right, the latter can be inconvenient to use. Cost cutting here.
pedals are cramped. No dead pedal on offer.
driver side door handle with request sensor that opens or closes the doors without the use of the key.
even the roof design is pretty funky with double bubble design touch.
1.2L 12V DOHC 3 cylinder petrol engine is a bit of a tight fit in the engine bay.
front chrome grill bar and air dam.
oval headlights inspired by Porsche sportscars.
panel gap on the bonnet line was a bit large, questionable.
At this price I do not see any reason for complain. But we (as Indians) always want more bang for the buck. Don't we ?? I personally don't like any car that is rounded (like the A Star)
BUT the price is attractive & NISSAN has shown it's intention of being in the game seriously.
So far whatever they launched did petty numbers, this one should open the market for them. When people (no offence to anyone) can like the Ritz or the Beat. They would love this.
In my books the Ritz & the Beat are the most horrendous looking cars, I hate the rakish angles, not required I think, but then that is me.
Cheers
Final set of pics.
front fog light, radiator is placed 10 inches back unlike the figo.
full wheel caps with 14" steel wheels. alloys not standard on any variant.
OSRVM design is curvy to aid aerodynamics.
co driver side door handle with request sensor that opens or closes the doors without the use of the key.
wheelbase is decent, so does the road clearance. Figure for GC unknown.
all smiles after spending a good time here.
no bhangra please, I insisted.
V is for V platform, not victory.:D
half rear 3 quarter perspective.
maybe this angle suits the car best. I quiet liked it.
