Well I think you can always trust a Maruti Suzuki. Car that I aspire for are the Honda Civic (there is something about that car that keeps attracting me to it).
Another brand I have very strong liking to is BMW. If I dont own a BMW in my lifetime, my life would be incomplete and utter failure!!!

Like some one pointed out here before.

We need to distinguish between cars you would love to buy and cars that you can rely on

I see the term 'inexplicable' has come under a lot of fire!
I agree this loyalty is not inxplicable, but the point I was trying to make was that even if the competing brand has better features, people still buy the brand they have had previous good experiences or like certain abstract things about which cannot be quantified.

Like unquantified things I like Mahindra for are its
>Rugged Look
>Road Presence
>Cult following
Now quantifiable factors which I like Mahindra for are>
>Cost
>Power
>Good A$$ (Personal experience)
>Off Road Capabilities
It would be great If you could put down bullet points as to why you like your brands too!

I've owned Marutis, Honda, Hyundai, and Skoda, so we are not particularly loyal to any particular brand.

But me and my dad have a certain inclination towards Hondas, my experience has always been more than good, be it delivery process or regular interval services, they have consistently excelled in many areas. Their aggressive nature in engine and styling department pulls my mind, heart and soul. A look at even 4 years old civic still gives a futuristic feeling and driving experience of any Hondas is always best in their respective segments, and added chery on top is a great resale.

@vjabraham
you were reading my mind ? I have exactly the same feeling;

I don't think Ford is bought only for performance and VFM image, Fiesta 1.4 D is not a performance car nor a VFM compare to Verna and Linea but .... it had some good points where people do love Fiesta 1.4 D and also Ford. I started with Fiat (dad) moved to Maruti, than Hyundai and now Ford. In future no no Japanese / Korean for me, I damn care for reliability, nothing is permanent, In future my cars will be from Ford/ Fiat/ VW/BMW etc Europe / American only due to fun to drive factor, if you can't enjoy the car why to buy.

No doubt, for a common man, its Hyundai.

Because
a. Quality of the cars (internal & external)
b. Reliability of the cars during usage
d. Dependability of the company for service and support

No other manufacturers in India provide all the thee qualities in an affordable range.

I have owned Maruti only. I believe that I can trust most of the manufacturers listed. The following require special mention from what I have read, heard and experienced.

1. Maruti Suzuki
2. Hyundai
3. Honda
4. Toyota
5. Tata
Maruti Suzuki with their omnipresent dealers and MASSs (in the context of a state like Kerala) induce extra confidence (though I have learnt that the other manufacturers have a road side assistance facility).

I always aspire to move up in the chain and would like to own the following brands
1. Honda
2. Toyota
3. Fiat

In my case it has to be Tata (because of affordability), otherwise it is Toyota.
Voted for Tata.

But own a Hyundai (ironical).

Fiat is a brand that is not very well accepted in India, But surprisingly according to the poll here it's the most aspirational brand on Team-BHP.
