Just happened to see this link and incidentally got a call from Honda India informing that they are launching a '24 hrs Road Assistance program' for an annual rent of Rs 1500. She said the vehicle can be towed free of cost any number of times in this 1 year period.

If the same is contd. the German cars very soon will be synonymous as bdcs' (break down cars) while rest of the world will be happy poking jokes at them and their electronics

You should have asked her if it was a joke. We all know Honda's and Toyota's don't break down so why should we give her that 1500 Rs ??

On the bright side ,it helps further maintain Audi's exclusivity. .

Honda's and toyota's dont break down?!
man they are machines after all , i mean i know they are reliable but at the end of the day the bottomline is they are machines.
And i think Rs1500 is a little amount to pay for ones peace of mind in case the car does break down

Yes i do agree 1500 Rs is a small amount but its really not needed for a Toyota or Honda. Use that amount to fill your tank up and take your friends on a joy ride .

Show me few pics of a Honda or a Toyota stalling and then taken on a Flat Bed. I might then consider changing my mind .

No never saw a Honda or Toyota on a flatbed. But seen many being towed. I agree Honda /Toyota break down less often but sometimes they break down, too.

My Ford Ikon was towed (for free) by the Ford breakdown assist team in a flat-bed truck, exactly like this! Was mightily impressed!

Diwali day seemed bad for some, a family in my building bought a Q5 2 weeks back and I saw it being towed on a flatbed ! Same day, saw a Black Cayanne struggling it's away on to the ramps of a flatbed.
Sorry no pics this time
