Spotted a BMW 5-series on a flatbed truck at Kollam (Kerala) last weekend and mentioned to wifey about a thread existing solely for tracking Germans-reclining-on-flatbeds.

Could not click a snap as I was driving.

There's a 7 series on Worli Seaface that has been broken down for over 2 hours. Flat bed truck parked next to it.
Can hope only hope that it (truck) too didn't break down, could be infectious carrying so many germans.

I have a German Car + Flatbed story with a twist.

My friends 3-day-old (yes, 3-days!) Manza got rear-ended last evening at Ber Sarai in Delhi by a BMW. The BMW driver said that he was arguing with his wife sitting next to him and could not brake on time! The Manza was badly damaged from the rear and the impact made it hit the Swift in front as well, so both ends got damaged.

My friend panicked. While her husband was dealing with the driver and the traffic police, she called me as to what to do next. I called some crane operators and sent a flatbed to the scene of the accident. By this time, the Traffic Police called their own contracted crane to remove all three vehicles and take them to the Vasant Vihar Police Station.

Now the revelation took place that the BMW owner did not have third-party insurance

. The police crane promptly refused to tow the BMW (he said he couldn't do it).

As a result of all this, finally our extremely aggressive BMW owner was finally begging my friend to let the flatbed take his car instead of the Manza. She promptly refused, but let the flatbed come back for the BMW after the Manza was dropped at the service centre. The crane took the Swift. All three cars are at the police station waiting for the court to clear them tomorrow.
