Did a 16.7 sec final run in my esteem - 1151cc-1400cc street stock category, winning 1st place. The tarmac was beautiful.

This was an awesome event, and Fairly well organized. Though this is the first time I attended an event like this, I can safely say it was quite well done.

Quite a Few awesome runs, The Y2k Let us down big time, Was hoping for it to at least complete 1 Full run. Rickey Gadson's runs were awesome.

I say some of the best Runs by the Godzilla, towards the end the Porche and Nissan Head to head were an awesome site

Vivan's Zen was doing some real awesome speeds.

The honda as you can see took off well and the Evo didnt. Till the half way the honda was ahead, after that I couldn't see who won, but expected the honda to win. But when I(we) saw the times, I was surprised(as you can hear) that the "mugen" honda didn't win.

The timing system was off. I was door to door with that white evo in my last run and it said i did a 16.

There were some issues with one of the Batteries from what I heard, Again, I might be wrong about the batteries, I only heard it from someone, The Sound of the Y2K was out of the world though !! Would have loved to see it in action.

The valley run was definitely one of the best "official" drag events organised in some time. Learnings from past events have definitely been put to use! Kudos to the organisors for this.

Jitu's city was superb!

I<3turbo's evo exceeded expectations - excellent RT's on all runs and can definitely go quicker under cooler temps.

The GTR vs 911 turbo was awesome to watch - great drivers in equally great matched cars. The perfect nemesis' runs.

The Y2K was just a big dud and it was the machine that seemed to be out of sync - heard that they couldn't take it above 4000rpm (redlines at 52,000 rpm) - Throttle and fuel issues maybe?? 3 poor attempts were made and i managed to capture 2 - the 3rd run was a dud too

About the Event:
It was good that a drag race finally happened in or near Mumbai after so many years. The venue is awesome and perfectly suited for a drag. The turnout was decent, I expected more cars and more spectators though.

The actual running of the event could have been better though. On Day 1, bikes were supposed to start at 8.30am and cars by 11.30am. But, the bikes only started at around 12.00pm! and the whole event was delayed by more than 3-4 hours! There was no driver's briefing what-so-ever, which, I think lead to a certain amount of confusion over the procedures to be followed, etc.
Other than the above 2 points, I feel it was a wonderful event.

My run at the event:
I participated in the Street Stock 1250-1400cc category with my Ritz. I got a side-pipe exhaust made and stripped the interiors to reduce weight. Unfortunately, this did not help much because the Ritz was smoked by 1.3L OHCs and Esteems .
Both these cars are lighter and have better aerodynamics. The tall Ritz only managed to hit a top speed of 117 km/h in both my runs resulting in 18.5xx sec quarter miles, while the OHC was hitting 125 km/h resulting in 17.5xx sec quarter miles. (There was a heavy head-wind when we were running)
