Do a search and see if you can find any other car in the whole world......ever, that has done 330+kmph trap speed with a 1/4 mile time of 9.2 secs.

Agree with Shan2nu. Also another major factor is aerodynamics. There would be so much shear stress on the front end, that the car would just loose its line. 330. Not at all possible.

9.855 is gautam's fastest in the unrestricted class. Thus also being the fastest car on the strip.

Mr. Sachdeva's Skyline, (henceforth referred to herein as GSS; Gautam Sachdeva's Skyline) was worth all. All those hours of heat, sweat, whatever....

I LOVE GSS. PERIOD.

Kudos to Mr. Raymond. I used to think of him as just another rich guy with taste. But this was something else. Gautam demonstrated his hard work & skill at handling the car. I'm impressed. The second 9.5x run on GSS was a sight to behold, with the front wheels popping up in the air upon launch. B-E-A-utiful. The third run just blew me away...9.2 ET...holy cow...I wouldn't mind seeing that car drag day-in-day-out.

Superb car. Kudos to TRD. Amazing.

A big hearty set of congratulations to all participants. Especially team-bhpians. The patience, skills & spirits demostrated at the event by the participants was exemplary.

So you OBVIOUSLY weren't present at the speed run.
Anyways, that's what the announcer called him

Didnt GS also sponsor the speedrun? Imagine how pissing off it must be to have someone you hired not know your name.

Hey people, did anyone crash or something???
i saw a white car being towed on the highway yesterday on my way to the domestic airport. The front was gone. It wasnt an Indian car and looked something like the one in this picture.

Please use terms like "shear stress" with care unless you know what the hell you're talking about. There's no shear stress acting on the front of the car when its going straight at whatever speed.

Theoretically, it is possible. You are arriving at your top speed estimate based on linear acceleration, or a constant rate of increase of speed. However, a variable rate of increase of speed could mean you max out 350 m down, and actually decelerate. Or cruise. Alternatively, you could have a slow initial speed, and a mind-blowing trap speed, because your ride pulls hard halfway down the strip. I remember last year, Baban Khan had a top speed around 190 kmph, even though his launch was rather conservative. The year before that, his trap speed was 15 kmph higher than Arun's, on their respective RDs, even though he came 2nd to Arun by 0.2 seconds.

Warning: absolute sleep deprivation can lead to mental velocity calculations.

BTW, there really is a Gautam Sachdev/Sachdeva. He's a racer type from Mumbai. Maybe KS or someone can tell us which team he represents.
