who are the organisers of the SPEEDRUN ? is it that autocar and SPEED are just sponsors or do they also organise it ?

maybe we can have a TBHP - SPEED run 1-2 years down the line
even if just member cars turn up it would attract a lot of attention

^^I support that totally.

I'm quite depressed on hearing such derogatory statements.. :-( I was expecting lots of pics of the action. Somebody has got to write to Autocar, or even Mallya for heaven's sake. If this continues, motor-sports in India will never grow!!

Hope they are using both sides of the road today ?

First day is usually boring ... second day is where the fun starts so lets just wait

bad! really bad!

i was there on saturday, it wasnt anything like we were expecting. the heat was unbearable and to top it off the bikers were just tearing apart my eardrums with those exhausts while speeding in the pits. 5 hours late this year too it seems. the sun was already down by the time the cars were finishing their practice run....and with jus one lane being used it was really slow. one thing i noticed was the timers above the starting line were held up by bamboos and seemed that the wind was really goinmg to blow them away any minute.

I just got news that "Wolf" in his OHC VTEC came first in the pro stock class. He did a 15 something to the 1/4 mile (can someone provide the exact time).

The last time he raced in Blore, he had done a 16.52 and had placed 2nd in his class.

It could have been better.... Thats all i've got to say. but one thing i'll agree by putting that Rs 50 /- Entry Fee they did manage to get the unwanted crowd away. May be if they raise the entry to something like 100 – 200 and provide a better sitting area , It would be awesome. I would still give Autocar the benefit as they were the one to take the initiative to organize such event and continue to do so. I would just expect some improvement. But what’s up with all those amazing cars in town and practically non showing up at the event ? There were a lot of SBKs tough and they sure did made some pretty loud noises (read orgasmic).
Some pics to follow sooon.
