Sudev:
Are there vehicle restrictions in it? I mean in terms of engine specs, any technicals that are mandatory to clear the Inspections? I am unable to locate the details on their website, maybe they havent been updated yet.
Need more info on it, I have a friend who's interested and we will be applying based on the info.

@AltoHoncho: There are three categories of Desert Storm (four if you count motoquad) for four wheelers. The Xtreme needs lots of vehicle preparation as per standards laid down by FMSCI as the cars are for out and out speed driving. non homologated cars (almost all Indian cars except cedia and Gypsy??) can alsobe driven in the Desert Storm.

For the Ndure (4x4) and Xplore (2x4) cars the standard cars are good to go and no modifications are needed. Both these category of events are with more emphasis on navigation and timing and less about all out speed driving.

The web site would be getting progresssively updated but you can read nfo about the 2010 Desert Storm as most regulations are likely to be same.

Mr.Sudev I am interested in 2w action.

I found an ambiguity in the fee structure for it in early entry scheme. The application demands 10k whereas the early entry fee is 5k. So can you be able to clarify this.

I have also communicated the same with the organisers, awaiting reply.

Thanks in advance

Hi Sudev,

I have got in my entry for Xplore. I am a first timer, and will be accompanied by a friend (also first timer). Philip told me that you would be conducting course for the event in December. Please do let me know and register me for the course. Would also need help in preparation for the event. We would be entering a Maruti Esteem.
