Bentley Bentayga Spied Again with minimal disguise .

The lightly camouflaged prototype was seen at VW Group’s test facility near Nurburgring, with the development now in its final steps. The all-new Bentayga is expected to come in a roomy 2+2 configuration, offering one of the most luxurious experiences in its segment.

Bentayga is set to appear in 2016 with production to take place in Britain.

From the pics so far the exteriors are giving it more of a station wagon then a SUV look, it seems too long for a SUV - like a XXL+ sized one. But then lets wait for the proper body panels and the real car to break cover. The interiors however, from the teasers look smart.

What's with the name? Bentayga? Sounds like Pakya

It doesn't have the grace and beauty of a Bentley. It looks like one of those mods where a car is just raised in the air. I'm sure the interiors will be smart, though, and probably infinitely customisable to order too

Not sure but it will be in a totally different segment pricing wise and yet it does not have the classy understated looks of the Range Rover. Its vulgar.

While I am sure that typical of Bentley this vehicle will be superbly executed, the appeal of it is more likely calculated to excite the well heeled, moneyed chaps out there, who lack, to some extent, the essential quality of "good taste". It borders on the vulgar and most traditionalists won't buy in. Yet, the profile of Bentley buyer is changing irretrievably with the redistribution of the wealth and there is a whole new market out there which will happily plonk hard cash for this!

It'll probably compete with the Autobiography/SV Autobiography (some $200-220k for the latter afaik). So far that is the choice of car for celebrities, sportspeople, drug dealers and politicians the world across because it's simply the best luxury SUV you can buy. The Bentayga may even cost $50k-70k more but it'll likely still take a large chunk of Range Rover sales because the sort of people who buy the Rangie for luxury will find the Bentayga is flashier and possibly even more luxurious. They also don't give a toss about cost, especially after the 200k point.

Luxury SUV == Range Rover and it looks far more classier. Bentley isn't associated with SUV's, the same way MayBack couldn't hurt Rolls Royce.

You're right about the first part but be that as it may, Bentley will likely make theirs even more luxurious. The Rangie's target market really doesn't care for classiness or understatement; in fact, the flashier the better especially in markets like China and the Middle East. Further, legacy has very little to do with a product's success in this day and age: the Porsche Cayenne is a prime example. Maybach was renowned for luxury cars that competed with Rolls Royce. The reason they didn't succeed was because the 62 - a glorified S - was bigger yet more reserved than the Rolls, which is not what their customer base wanted. I recall Simon Cowell talking about this as well on Top Gear.

Bentley Bentayga Is The World’s Fastest SUV

Bentley have released a video of their new SUV reaching a top speed of 301 kmph thereby making it the world’s fastest SUV. The test was carried out a high speed testing facility of Volkswagen. This makes it faster than its closest competitor Porsche Cayenne Turbo S by almost 15kmph.

The production version looks terribly uninspiring and looks bespoke for the middle east in that color. The side profile looks good, especially the rear shoulder. But the rear is totally amiss. Those photo-shopped pictures are not helping either.
