what a smashing car. this thing looks amazing. I simply love BMW aggressive styling - it gives the car so much more character. The only car I'd plonk my money on in the segment.

The car looks great, looks better than E class and the & series. Very pleasing to look at first look.

Looks solid enough but it's a bit samey. BMW's are turning into Merc's and frankly only old people buy the 5 series nowadays. For me it's either the Shaguar or the Audi. Think I prefer the Jag on balance.

Its official, the new F10 5 series!

What do you guys think about it? I was very eagerly waiting for this day and I have to say I am really disappointed with the looks. I think it lost the sportiness of the e60. The interiors are nice and luxurious and I am sure it'll be a great car to drive. The 530d will mostly be launched in India. It'll have 245 bhp and 540 Nm torque as opposed to 230 bhp and 500 Nm of the current 5. The 520d will have 184 bhp as opposed to 177 bhp of the current 5. I really hope they launch the 535i in India. It's an awesome engine. Anyways, here is a link to some pictures and unveiling.

it seems BMW has gone back to its old shark-ish style desing.

the front looks unusually longer.

but i am sure all these design elements will result in fabulous weight distribution, hence a great drive.

BTW, what is the drag coefficient of this new design by BMW?

It's definitely better than the Bangled design, but nothing compared to te E39. Now, that was a looker! At least this one doesnt make me want to throw up.

I'm sure it'll be unbelievably good, and blow away the E / A6 etc etc... but somehow, the design just doesn't cut it. Sigh. I'll miss the aggression of the Bangle. This looks more like a 3-series in the pictures, which might probably be attributed to the perfect proportions. I'm going to miss the E60 very very much.

I think this is a good looking muscular car, better than the current version, I think it will do well, its no radical looker, but good enough to do its job.

Was wondering to pick up the new E, but this surely looks better and has more room, cant wait to pick one up next year once its here.

Bah, all this car looks like is an elongated 3 series. It doesn't have a bit of the aggressiveness of the e60 !!! That car was a monster..................The interiors strongly resembling the 7 are as usual nothing short of stunning.

Overgrown 3 on the outside, mini 7 on the inside.

I'm sold on the interiors, not sure if I am pleased with the exteriors. I need to sleepover it

I didn't like the headlights. The hood seems to be inspired from SLR and SLK. the way mid shape narrows towards the BMW Logo reminds me of SLR's design.

The tail lamps are influenced by 5-series GT. not a bad thing, but not a good thing too. too much of influence of 3-series though.

interior are awesome though . but that's the same case with e-class too.

Maybe I am not as much of a BMW watcher so I don't see what the fuss is about, the changes seem very nuanced to say the least, does a new model now simply mean a change of headlight and tail lights, on the whole very similar to the old one, some new lines and more rounded form but its slight.

IMHO the front headlights and grill look more outdated than the previous. Suppose you put the old one next to the new one and asked folks who haven't seen the cars before, how many will be able to successfully choose the new one as the latest model?

Those lines on the bonnet look amazing! However this one looks more sober than the current wacky,uber-aggressive 5!..Looks more like a grown up 3 and a scaled down 7
