Ford Capri Classic
The Ford Consul Capri Classic appeared in 1961 as a British coupé, with styling evocative of the 1959 Thunderbird, based on the Consul Classic 315. The Capri 335 had a 1340cc (56 bhp) or 1500cc "Kent" 4-cylinder engine in either standard (59 bhp) or GT (87 bhp) tune. Some 7,500 units were built before production ceased with the 1964 model.
Models include the Consul 315 (known as the Consul Classic on the domestic market),
which came in 2-door and 4-door variants, standard and de-luxe, 1340cc and 1498cc,Geneva]and the Consul Capri, 1340cc and 1498cc.

The question regarding this ar has been asked before, by Ram if im not mistaken.

Lovely looking car. A friend of my older brother used to have a mint condition black coupe like this. It had an eagle motif on the bonnet like the Transam and i remember taking many joyous rides in the car. Sometime later he expired and whee the car went is still a mystery. It supported a Bombay number, MMY something if i remember right. This was in the mid eighties.

ID 669 appears to be a Jowett Javelin, produced from 1947 to 1953.

Absolutely correct champ.

OT - After I had posted this, something led me to do a search for "Jowett" on this very thread. Turns out you had posted a Jowett Jupiter for identification many posts ago.

Err, no anorak discussions on this one?

Well, since you insist, the front orange indicators seem to be a later addition for MoT requirements, common with most classics of the era. And the photo appeared in an article in the Telegraph UK about the top 50 stylish cars or thereabouts.

ID 671: Holden FX series produced from the late 40s to early 50s. Don't think there was much variation within the production years. Anyway exact pinpointing can be done by those with more time.

Amazingly it was a hit during the only 5/6 yrs of its production and that too being a non-american / european. This one's probably a 1948-49 215 (FX). The later ones, the FJs, had different front grill.
