I'm aware of that buddy. Hence the err and ?? around the 16 But as per the report it was a New Season starting from Jan 11 and was named (see the part in bold) Season 16.

Even I was confused.

Re: Top Gear Season 16

An average episode. Id give it a 6/10..... The Skoda Yeti bit looks quite sensible TBH. Also, somehow, this epiosde reminds me of seasons 2 and 3 alot...

Re: Top Gear Season 16

This was an average episode but I liked the Yeti part.

What surprised me was Tiff Needell in the Atom & even more surprising was the fact that his name was not mentioned in the credentials while they did mention Sienna Miller.

There are rumors around that Tiff could be the Stig. But can't confirm it till we watch the next episode of Fifth Gear.

JC's claims about the Skoda Yeti is definitely something. Never in my wildest dreams did i ever think that Jeremy would shower such praises on the Czech car.

The episode was average. Not great, by TopGear standards atleast.

I think he is just being himself. He has a way of telling things you know.

Am I being cynical and not enjoying the entertainment to its full extent, or just getting old.

This was deliberate on their part. The whole ethos behind Top Gear is about "driving a great car, on a great road". JC explained this one of the season finale episodes, I don't remember which one.

And it's not like they don't test affordable cars, it's just that the car has to be special. Which is why the love the Mondeo, they did an episode on the new Golf GTi, an episode on the new Fiesta ST, an episode on the most fuel efficient cars today (which apparently is a twin-turbo Jag Diesel, not a VW Polo diesel).

Primarily though, the show's about thinking about cars with your heart rather than with your head. Release your inner petrolhead, I say!!

Re: Top Gear Season 16

For once they actually a practical tip - slowing down a car using the gears rather by breaking to save fuel.

Normally their tips are tongue in cheek to say the least.

Re: Top Gear Season 16

I am big fan of TOP Gear, but i do not think their reviews should be taken seriously. I like the way they mock at Morris Marina. But i feel 16-01 episode was better than 16-02 except the ARIEL ATOM V8. JC rocks.

PS: This is my first post on TEAM BHP.
