Re: The 2014 F1 Season

This is surprising to hear. Martin Brundle was discussing how Hulkenberg is headed to Lotus to fill Raikkonen's seat during the Japanese GP.

I think this may be just rumor, at this point Hulkenberg would want to move up in career and not sideways.

Was speaking to a friend about this tweet and he asked me this question, 'Who is Ollie Harden?'

I didn't have an answer, who is this guy? I don't remember reading anything about EJ mentioning anything about this move.

The 2014 calendar in full:
That is because probably India shall be moved ahead in schedule. Instead of October it may be March or something like that. That is what I have read in an article some time back.

Based on recent performances, I would say its Grosjean's seat that is actually up for grabs in the Lotus team. Grosjean seems to have taken over Kimi's spot (#1) in Lotus team for next year.

Having said that, FI seems to be in an even worse financial condition than Lotus for next year. May be Nico is as confused as everyone else.

Newey to leave Red Bull at the end of 2014?

Newey to leave Red Bull at the end of 2014?

Red Bull could be set to lose its dominance over Formula 1 in 2015 as not only is head of aerodynamics Peter Prodromou set to join McLaren at the end of next year, but design guru Adrian Newey has hinted that it might be time for him to work on other interests outside of motorsport.

So finally, we can see teams like Ferrari and Mercedes winning championships and Vettel can prove himself if he is good enough to be among F1 greats.

Cheers!

myavu - This query is not aimed at you,but this is something that always puzzles me.

This is not a comparison, but why do we single out Vettel when the fact remains that MS never won a championship without a car designed by Rory Byrne.

The problem is Michael was able to fight for championship even when Bryne made a donkey for a car in late 90s and this lad who has the quality to scream on radio to let him pass has won 4 championships already.

Yeah, he did some amazing DRS overtakes in India :clap

The point I was pondering over was ,none of the 7 titles are belittled because they were designed by Bryne.

But 4 in a row from Vettel gets shooed away as brilliance of Newey.
